Last Updated on October 17, 2022

Warframe Neurodes Farming Guide – Neurodes are one of the most important resources in the game, the beginner players face problems while trying to farm these since they are not aware of the star chart and resources. Our guide today will cover how to farm neurodes easily and efficiently.

Neurodes Farming Guide

Neurodes are used to craft important things such as Forma, Orokin Reactors, multiple cosmetic helmets, and the latest Zephyr Prime Systems. Check the end of this article for the full list of Blueprints that require Neurodes. You can purchase one Neurode from the market for 10 platinum which is absurd, you can also get the permanent blueprint to craft the same for 100 platinum. But both of these things a are newbie trap. You can easily farm these while roaming around and playing the game.

Let’s find out.

My Typical setup for farming resources is

  • Desecrate Nekros
  • Slash Pistol
  • Tigris Prime
  • and Atterax

All of these are slash weapons and benefit from the Nekros Desecrate ability to drop double loot which makes our work easier.

Planets that drop Neurodes

  • Look for Neuroptic Masses in Earth and Plains of Eidolon
  • Sentient Fighters in Lua (can be accessed after completing The Second Dream Quest)
  • Orokin Derelict Survival (high chance)
  • Eris Survival and Defense

Best Way?

This might not sound the best way to some, but this works just fine for me.

Tycho (Survival)

In Tycho (Survival), the Occulysts will spawn every 1-2 minutes, upon scanning they will call the Battalysts and Conculysts. The number of these will gradually increase with the time you spend on the mission. Upon killing each of these, you have a huge chance of getting a Neurode. Sentients and Occulysts are hard to kill and will build immunity against your damage type, so it’s recommended that you vary your builds a little, also take a tanky frame.

The number might sound less but after completing the mission at around 20 minutes, you will end up with at least 10 Neurodes (can be boosted using Resource Booster).

Useless TIP: I don’t like fighting these guys with a Nekros so I always take Valkyr Prime with me, and since I am MR22 at the moment I don’t really need to farm Neurodes. This is a guide written for the people who face difficulty while trying to get these for crafting important things such as Forma which I mentioned at the beginning of this article.

Orokin Derelict Assassinate

All derelict missions have a good chance of dropping neurodes, the assassinate mission of Lephantis is one of them. The boss has multiple heads and each head has a chance of dropping a Neurode, after the fight you might end up having around 3-4 every run. The only downside of this is, that you need Derelict Assassination keys which are crafted using Lephantis Nav coordinates acquired through other derelict missions.

This method is not beginner-friendly at all since it requires a boss fight and derelict is an end-gameish tileset.

Beginner Friendly Warframe Neurodes Farming Tips

Most newer players will need Neurodes in their initial days, access to Derelict and Orokin is not something they have. When you are starting with Warframe and need Neurodes, just head to Earth and search around for Neuroptic Masses. While farming for Neuroptic Masses, use frames that deal AOE damage such as Ember these will break open the masses and your companion should collect the resource.

Neuroptic Masses

The chances of enemies dropping the resource are low on Earth that is why I recommended you to search for the masses and open containers.

Don’t Do These

There are many posts on Reddit and Warframe Forums by some players telling players that Orokin Derelict Defense and Survival are good ways. Let me tell you, these are not efficient ways of farming the resource at all. I have done my testing and the results were not great at all. Even the Wiki says that the derelict farm is inefficient, below are their numbers.

  • Orokin Derelict Defense (Hard and Requires a squad): Nets 1 Neurode after 30 waves. Even with the right farming build including a Desecrate Nekros.
  • Derelict Survival (Gets difficult with time): Nets 3-4 Neurodes every 30 minutes with Nekros.
  • Eris Survival and Defense: There’s a common misconception that running infested tileset missions will net you a lot of this resource. The resource only drops in a few missions, and only a certain set of those are efficient.

Blueprints that require Neurodes

The list is not huge, but huge enough to have enough of these farmed and stacked in your inventories. You will need them a lot as you progress and rank up.

These are a few weapons/components that require this resource if you have any more to add do let me know using the comment section below.I have already written a lot of guides on the website, such as

Do let us know if this guide helped you out, I have published a lot more of these that you can check out.
