Nitain Extract Farming

Last Updated on October 17, 2022

Almost everyone who plays Warframe must have come across this annoying and really hard to farm resource called as Nitain Extract.

Vauban Prime is a frame that requires twenty of these. Earlier there was a four alert limit per day for these alerts to appear in the game. But that has been changed by DE, now Nitain can be obtained from Nightwave’s offerings, resource caches, or Ghoul Purge bounties.

Nitain Extract Farming

The farming method has been changed, now you have multiple ways to farm this resource. Thanks to the changes made by DE.

Best Ways of Farming Nitain Extract

I’ve mentioned all the methods that you can use to farm Nitain Extract easily.

Method #1 – Nightwave

Nightwave is a new addition to Warframe, you can call it Warframe’s version of a Battle Pass (of course it’s free). You’ll have to rank up and earn Intermission Creds, what is Intermission Creds you ask? – It is the Nightwave currency that you can use to exchange and get stuff.

Once you have enough creds, exchange them for Nitain Extract. The best part of this is that you can purchase multiple Nitain Extract at once. You need 15 Intermission III creds to buy a bundle of 5 Nitain.

Method #2 – Ghoul Bounties on Cetus/Poe

Ghoul bounties on POE also have a good chance of dropping Nitain Extract upon completion. I’ve heard good things about this on Reddit and the Warframe Forums. But I’m not sure how successful are people with these. But, when in need, it’s better than waiting for the old alert system.

Level 15-25 Ghoul Bounties – 4.12% to drop Nitain Extract in Stage 4 and 5.95% to drop in Stage 5.

Level 40-50 Ghoul Bounties – 4.12% to drop Nitain Extract in Stage 4 and 5.95% to drop in Stage 5.

There is RNG involved in this, but now you have better control over obtaining this resource. I still remember back in the day when I had to wait for almost a week to gather Nitain for crafting my Vauban Prime.

Method #3 – Farming Caches

Best Places with Percentages:

  • Stribog, Void (Corrupted Sabotage Mission) – 2.00% chance of finding 1 Nitain upon opening all three caches.
  • Dakata, Kuva Fortress (Grineer Exterminate Mission) – 2.00% chance of finding 1 Nitain upon opening all three caches.
  • Kelpie, Sedna (Grineer Sabotage Mission) – 2.00% chance of finding 1 Nitain upon opening all three caches.
  • Cypress, Pluto (Corpus Sabotage Mission) – 2.00% chance of finding 1 Nitain upon opening all three caches.

The trick here is to do fast runs, so it is always better to run squads with your friends or your clanmates. One completes the mission and the other 3 will find the Orokin Caches and make sure you get the Rotation C done for chances to get that annoying Nitain Extract.

One added the benefit of this is that you might find Ayatan Sculptures, Fully crafted formas while searching for all these.

If you don’t like the farming way, then Nightwave thing should work fine for you. I haven’t run any of the Orokin runs yet still I’m sitting on a lot of Nitain Extract as you can see in the picture below.

Weapons/Components That Require Nitain Extract for Crafting

These are a few weapons/components that I remember requiring Nitain

  • Vauban Prime – 20

  • Broken War – 2
  • Aura Forma – 10

I already have written multiple guides on mastery rank, best warframe, and credit farming. Do check those out.
