Best Warframe Weapons in 2026: Primary, Secondary and Melee Picks

General-use picks for every slot, plus the role guides

Last Updated on September 11, 2026

The short answer

Bring Torid (Incarnon) or Nataruk in your primary, Kuva Nukor in your secondary, and a Condition Overload melee like Kronen Prime or Praedos. That loadout clears the whole star chart and early Steel Path with no specific Warframe carrying it. The rest of this page sorts the arsenal by the job each weapon does best.

Reviewed September 10, 2026, current through Update 43.5. Iceblade of Narin lands September 23 and is not reflected yet; every page here gets re-checked after each major patch.

Best general-use primaries

WeaponMRWhyHow to get
Torid4Its Incarnon form fires a Toxin beam that jumps between five enemies, with no stagger and no ammo panic.Clan Dojo Bio Lab; adapter from the Steel Path Circuit rotation
Nataruk0The New War hands it to you: infinite ammo and a perfect-charge shot that one-taps most of the star chart. The New War quest reward
Tenet Arca Plasmor16One wide wave per trigger pull, no self-stagger, and it forgives sloppy aim at any level.Sister of Parvos carrying it
Latron0MR 0 Market rifle whose Incarnon form strips armor with Puncture procs; no energy or combo needed.Market blueprint; adapter from the Steel Path Circuit rotation
Acceltra Prime14Fast mini-rockets, a sprint reload and a deep magazine; the comfiest launcher for mixed content.Prime relics or trade

Best general-use secondaries

WeaponMRWhyHow to get
Kuva Nukor13Chains a status beam across nearby enemies and makes every melee weapon better; still the default secondary.Kuva Lich carrying it
Dual Toxocyst11Incarnon mode goes full-auto with ricochet, so every trigger pull works two enemies at once.Clan Dojo Bio Lab; adapter from the Steel Path Circuit rotation
Laetum14Incarnon burst pistol that snowballs on headshot kills; the single-target secondary that also clears rooms.Cavalero on the Zariman (Holdfasts standing)
Epitaph8Uncharged shots prime a crowd; the charged shot is one of the biggest crit hits a sidearm has.Void Storm missions (Railjack), then build
Lex3Cheap Market revolver that turns into a room-clearing hand cannon with its Incarnon adapter.Market; adapter from the Steel Path Circuit rotation
Furis1MR 1 pistol whose Incarnon beam heals you as it fires; sustain for any frame without a healing kit.Market blueprint; adapter from the Steel Path Circuit rotation

Best general-use melee

WeaponMRWhyHow to get
Praedos14Incarnon tonfa that boosts your parkour speed and keeps its combo; the melee most veterans never take off.Cavalero on the Zariman (Holdfasts standing)
Kronen Prime13The crit and status statline Condition Overload builds want, with reach to hit whole groups per swing.Prime Resurgence or trade (vaulted)
Glaive Prime10A melee that fights at range: heavy throws explode on a crowd and the blade cuts through on the way back.Prime Resurgence or trade (vaulted)
Ceramic Dagger3A cheap dagger that becomes a Steel Path heavy-attack machine once its Incarnon adapter is installed.Market blueprint; adapter from the Steel Path Circuit rotation
Dual Ichor6Incarnon kills leave Toxin clouds that spread through the pack; cheap Dojo research that scales all the way up.Clan Dojo Bio Lab; adapter from the Steel Path Circuit rotation
Nikana Prime12Strong crit stats and a forgiving stance handle trash and tough single targets equally well.Prime Resurgence or trade (vaulted)

How to pick

  • Leveling something new: put it in one slot and carry a weapon from this page in each of the other two.
  • No idea what the mission is: Torid or Nataruk, Kuva Nukor, and a Condition Overload melee cover the star chart and early Steel Path.
  • Bosses, Archons, Acolytes: switch to the single-target picks. AoE and fast fire get punished there.
  • Zero platinum: Nataruk, Lex and Ceramic Dagger, then Circuit adapters as they rotate through.
