Profit-Taker Guide (2026): Heist Phases, Shield Cycle and Rewards

Shield cycle, legs, pylons, Toroid: the whole heist

Last Updated on September 11, 2026

The short answer

Rank Vox Solaris to Old Mate, clear Heist phases one to three, and phase four is the Orb. Shoot the element shown on its head to break the shield, swap to a Gravimag Arch-gun for the legs, kill the pylons twice, then finish the body before the timer. Chroma or Volt, a Mausolon or Corvas Prime, and weapons that cover every damage type between them.

NeedWhat
StandingVox Solaris rank 5, Old Mate, with Little Duck in Fortuna
HeistsPhases 1 to 3 cleared once; phase 4 is the fight
Arch-gunAny Arch-gun with a Gravimag (your first Phase 3 clear hands one over)
Damage typesAs many as your three weapons can cover; the shield only takes the type it shows
PayoutCrisma Toroid, credits, Debt-Bonds; Chroma’s Effigy and a booster double the credits

What you need first

RequirementWhy
Vox Solaris rank Old MateUnlocks the Heist bounties from Eudico; Toroids from Orb Vallis caves rank you up.
Heist phases 1 to 3Each must be cleared once. The first phase 3 clear also gives the Gravimag.
A Gravimag on your Arch-gunWithout it the Arch-gun cannot be fired on foot, and the leg phase cannot be done.

Before you go

  • Carry three weapons that together cover as many damage types as possible: physical, the four elements, and combined elements.
  • Lavos can swap his element on demand; Volt's Electric Shield adds Electricity to everything through it.
  • Slot Primed Sure Footed; the fight is one long stagger without it.
  • Run a Credit Booster and bring Chroma for Effigy if credits are the point.
  • Kill the Reinforcement Beacons nearby before you open, or the Corpus never stop arriving.
  • Bring an Amp with a scaffold that can pop pylons quickly.

Phase four, step by step

  1. Take the Phase 4 Heist from Eudico and fly out to the Orb's platform.
  2. Look at the symbol on its head. That is the only damage type the shield takes right now.
  3. Hit it with that type. After about a fifth of the shield is gone, or 25 seconds, the type changes.
  4. No matching weapon? An Operator Void beam forces a swap once the short cooldown is up.
  5. Shield down: deploy the Gravimag Arch-gun and break all four legs.
  6. The Orb topples. Dump Arch-gun fire into the exposed body.
  7. Around three quarters health it goes immune and drops four pylons. Kill all four; crits and status do nothing to them.
  8. The shield returns once. Cycle it again.
  9. Around a quarter health, six pylons. Clear them.
  10. Final body phase. A timer of about five minutes starts; run out and the Orb becomes unkillable.
  11. It dies, then self-destructs. Grab the Toroid, Debt-Bonds and credits and get clear.
  12. Hand the Crisma Toroid to Little Duck for standing.

Tips that save runs

  • Speedrunners do not chase the shield type; they carry enough elements that something always matches and keep shooting.
  • Pylons have flat object health. A fast-firing gun beats a crit build there.
  • The self-destruct radius is large. Loot, then leave.
  • Phase 2 of the Heist is the Gyromag farm; you do not need to kill the Orb for those.
  • A Necramech can be summoned mid-fight for an Arch-gun with its own ammo pool.

Mistakes that waste runs

  • No Gravimag. You cannot break the legs.
  • One or two damage types, then waiting through element cycles.
  • Standing next to the corpse.
  • Skipping stagger immunity and losing every DPS window to knockdowns.
