Credit Farming That Still Works in 2026

Last Updated on September 7, 2026

If your credit farm stopped paying out around May, you’re not imagining it. Hotfix 42.0.10, released May 6, killed the Secura Lecta trick that let one melee kill trigger its credit bonus multiple times off a single enemy through a damage-over-time loophole. For a few months that made the Lecta the fastest credits-per-hour in the game. It’s gone now, and no build tweak brings it back. The one consolation from the same hotfix: the bonus now triggers off the Lecta’s own damage-over-time kills even while it’s holstered, which is a fraction of what the loophole paid but does mean you’re not forced to land the killing blow with it equipped.

That’s the only credit farm that actually got nerfed this year. The Index wasn’t touched. Profit-Taker wasn’t touched. If a guide from a year or two ago feels like it’s underselling what you’re earning, the reason isn’t a quiet balance pass. Faster methods showed up around the old ones, and the game kept adding new places to spend credits at the same time. There’s no single best farm anymore. What’s worth your time depends on how far into the game you are and how much setup you’re willing to do before the payout starts.

Early game: dark sector defense

If you’re still filling out your first handful of frames, Seimeni and Gabii on Ceres are the answer. Both are Dark Sector nodes, Seimeni a Defense and Gabii an Infested Survival, and Dark Sectors pay a boosted credit reward on top of the normal mission payout. Five waves of Seimeni or the first five minutes of Gabii net somewhere around 20,000 to 25,000 credits. Sources don’t agree on exactly how that splits between base reward and bonus, so treat the range as the honest number rather than a precise one.

Run it as your first mission of the day and the daily tribute bonus nearly doubles the take, pushing a single run toward 50,000 credits. Repeat it four or five times back to back and you’ve covered a couple of market blueprints, a round of mod ranking, and still have credits left for clan research fees. If you’re trying to figure out which frame to fund next with that pile, our release order list is a decent way to prioritize.

While you’re farming Ceres anyway, grab a few Nightwave or Steel Path detours for Nitain Extract too. It doesn’t drop from Dark Sector missions, but you’ll want a stockpile of it for frame and weapon research regardless. Our Nitain Extract guide covers the reliable sources.

Profit-Taker: the biggest single payout

Once you’ve unlocked Orb Vallis bounties and can reliably solo or squad the fight, Profit-Taker is the credit farm with the highest ceiling. The Orb guarantees a minimum of 125,000 credits per kill. Bring Chroma and pop Effigy during the kill and that doubles to 250,000, since Effigy specifically doubles credit drops. Stack a Credit Booster on top and squads report pulling 500,000 to 1,000,000 credits per kill.

Time investment scales with your gear. Optimized squads clear the fight in around two minutes including load screens, and a solo experienced player can do it in about 2:15. Most players should plan on something closer to five or six minutes per kill until the fight clicks. Even at that slower pace, 250,000 credits in six minutes beats almost anything else on this list.

Höllvania Techrot safes

This one didn’t exist before Warframe 1999 and Techrot Encore. Techrot Safes scattered around Höllvania hand over a base 100,000 credits when cracked open, plus an Arcane Enhancement and a Hex Treasure. Opening one is a two-step job. The safe waypoints itself once you’re within about 100 meters, but it only opens with a Safe Biocode hidden somewhere in the same tile, marked by a faint blue glow and a beep that’s distinct from the Hex Treasure chime. Popping an Orokin Eye air support charge highlights the Biocode if you’d rather not hunt by ear, and running a SHELL CRACKER bounty marks the safe on your map from the start instead of making you search for it. One more trick carries over from the Profit-Taker section: Chroma’s Effigy doubles the payout to 200,000, and that stacks multiplicatively with a Credit Booster on top.

It’s not a fast solo loop the way Profit-Taker is, but it’s close to free money if you’re already in Höllvania farming Techrot Encore drops or working on Entrati-adjacent content. If Cambion Drift standing is next on your list separately, that’s a different grind entirely, see our Entrati standing guide for that one.

Railjack: Veil Proxima anomaly runs

Solo Railjack missions on Earth or Venus Proxima pay out somewhere around 30,000 to 40,000 credits per completed run going by player reports, and the number climbs on Neptune and Pluto as enemy levels rise. Per-run Railjack payouts are the least documented numbers on this list, so treat them as ballpark rather than gospel. The method worth building toward is Veil Proxima Skirmish nodes with an active Sentient Anomaly, marked by a purple icon on the star chart that rotates roughly every 30 minutes. These runs are shorter than a standard Railjack mission but pay out of proportion to their length. Run one with a Credit Booster active and you’ll clear close to 100,000 credits in under 10 minutes.

This isn’t a farm for a fresh account. You need a Railjack built out enough to survive Veil Proxima before any of this applies, so treat it as a late-game rotation option rather than something to chase early.

The Index: still good, just not the fastest anymore

The Index math hasn’t moved since Update 22.12 back in 2018. Low Risk wagers 30,000 credits for a 105,000 return, 75,000 profit, at 50 points. Medium wagers 40,000 for 175,000 back, 135,000 profit. High Risk wagers 50,000 for a 250,000 return, 200,000 profit, once you hit 100 points. A match runs about 10 minutes once you know the arena and aren’t dying to the enemy team’s melee rushdown.

Nothing about that got nerfed. It got outpaced. Profit-Taker and Höllvania simply pay faster per minute for players with the gear to run them. Stack a Credit Booster on a Double Credit Weekend and High Risk Index runs can climb to 900,000 to 1,000,000 credits in that same 5-to-10-minute window, which puts it back in the conversation whenever a Double Credit event lines up with your schedule.

We wrote a full breakdown of wager tiers and squad comps in our original Index farming guide. Treat it as reference material for the mechanics, not the final word on what’s best. It predates Profit-Taker’s rise as a top farm and predates Höllvania entirely, since Warframe 1999 content didn’t exist when it was written.

Credit Booster math

A Credit Booster doubles credits from pickups, caches, and mission-end rewards, as long as it’s still active when the mission actually ends. It stacks multiplicatively with a Double Credit Weekend, not additively, so you’re looking at base times 2 times 2, a full 4x, not the 3x a lot of players assume. Pricing from the in-game market:

  • 3-day Credit Booster: 40 platinum
  • 7-day Credit Booster: 80 platinum
  • 30-day Credit Booster: 200 platinum

Baro Ki’Teer occasionally carries a 3-day version for 350 Ducats and 75,000 credits when he has it in stock, worth checking our Baro tracker before you spend plat on the same thing.

Whether it’s worth the plat comes down to volume. On a 200,000-profit High Risk Index run, doubling to 400,000 means ten boosted matches leave you roughly 2 million credits ahead of unboosted runs. If you farm most days, the 30-day version earns its 200 platinum easily. If you only touch a credit farm once a week, buy the 3-day when you actually need it instead.

None of this touches platinum. Credits and plat are separate economies, and if you’re sitting on prime parts instead of credit shortages, that’s a trading problem, not a farming one. Check current going rates with our prime price check tool before you list anything, and read our trading guide if you haven’t sold on the trade chat before. If you’re also short on relics to crack for those parts, our relic farming guide covers current best nodes by tier.

One more reason to keep a credit farm in rotation rather than treating it as a one-time chore: Brysko and the Tau expansion are still coming later this year, and every new frame release drags a fresh wave of market and research costs with it. Check our Brysko page for what’s confirmed so far, and keep one of these farms warm before the update lands rather than scrambling for credits the week it drops.
