Last Updated on September 14, 2026

The short answer

Galvanized Savvy is a rare shotgun (primary) mod: At max rank, this mod increases shotgun status chance by 80% and grants a buff on kill that increases direct hit damage by 40% for each unique status type affecting the target for 20 seconds, stacking up to 2 times. The fastest way to get this mod is to buy it from the Arbitrations vendor for 20 Vitus Essence. The shotgun version; status shotguns like the Kuva Hek live on it.

Tips that save runs

  • Condition Overload (Mechanic) for additive/multiplicative damage interactions
  • Multishot mods on shotguns for immediate damage benefit on first trigger pull
  • Kuva Nukor or Nukor for applying the Microwave status
  • The damage increase is generally additive with other damage mods like Point Blank, but can be multiplicative in some cases.
  • The damage increase is not applied on the hit that procs a new status effect, only on subsequent hits.

Mistakes that waste runs

  • Players might expect the damage increase to apply to area-of-effect damage, but it only affects direct hit damage.
  • Players may assume the damage bonus applies immediately to the hit that causes a new status, but it only applies to following hits.
  • Players might not realize that kills from status procs (like Hunter Munitions) still contribute to gaining stacks.
