Corufell

Build and guide

Build it for the free Heavy Attack gunblade mode: no ammo, high Heat damage, infinite punch-through. The real weakness is a short 2.6m reach and 14% base status, so it can’t match Condition Overload status weapons without heavy investment.

Unique trait: Gunblade Heavy Attack

Heavy Attacks briefly turn the Corufell into a gunblade that fires up to two Heat-damage energy projectiles, no ammo required, with infinite punch-through and falloff from 15m to 30m. Citrine, its signature Warframe, gets a 20% faster transformation wind-up.

Corufell is Citrine’s signature Heavy Scythe from Citrine’s Last Wish (Update 32.3, 2023), and it’s still worth building in 2026 for its Heavy Attack gunblade mode, a free ranged option backed by a strong 26% crit chance and 2.4x multiplier.

How to get the Corufell

  1. Complete the Heart of Deimos quest if you haven’t, to unlock Deimos and its Mirror Defense mission on Tyana Pass, Mars.
  2. Farm Mirror Defense: the blueprint drops in Rotation A, the Barrel/Receiver/Handle components drop in Rotation B.
  3. Alternative: buy the blueprint and components from Otak in the Necralisk using Belric Crystal Fragments and Rania Crystal Fragments earned from Mirror Defense rotations.
  4. Build in the Foundry: requires 1 Barrel, 1 Handle, 1 Receiver, 3 Orokin Cell, and 15,000 Credits.
  5. Fast path: buy the fully-built Corufell from the Market for 175 Platinum, which also includes a weapon slot and a pre-installed Orokin Catalyst.

Components (Barrel, Receiver, Handle) can be traded between players, but the blueprint itself cannot be traded, so a full plat rush or the Deimos grind are the only paths to a second copy for a different loadout.

Riven disposition is 1.05 (3 of 5 circles), a middling value, so a riven is a nice-to-have for extra crit chance or an element, not a must-buy, especially since the gunblade mode doesn’t scale off riven stats at all.

Builds

Corufell is a crit-scaling combo build, not a status build: 26% base crit chance and a 2.4x multiplier make it a natural Blood Rush weapon, and the 14% base status is too low without Weeping Wounds and Condition Overload. Run Blood Rush with Weeping Wounds so combo growth raises both crit and status chance, add Organ Shatter for crit damage, and use the Heat-damage gunblade Heavy Attack as a situational ranged option rather than main damage.

ModWhy it’s here
Primed Pressure PointFlat melee damage baseline that every other percentage mod multiplies off of.
Blood RushTurns combo counter into crit chance, the core scaling tool given Corufell’s already-solid 26% base crit.
Organ ShatterAdds flat crit damage that stacks with the weapon’s strong native 2.4x multiplier for bigger red crits.
Weeping WoundsConverts the same combo counter into status chance, patching Corufell’s low 14% base status.
Condition OverloadRewards the status procs Weeping Wounds now lands with a per-status damage multiplier on each target.
Gladiator MightAdds melee crit damage and parkour velocity as part of the Gladiator set for extra mobility while combo-building.
Berserker FuryGrants attack speed on crits, building the combo counter faster to hit Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds breakpoints sooner.
True SteelExtra flat crit chance to push over key crit-tier thresholds earlier in a combo, before Blood Rush scaling kicks in.

Melee Crescendo is the best pick since finisher kills lock in permanent bonus combo that boosts Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds all mission, and without it just build combo manually through stance combos and slide attacks instead.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Strong native crit stats (26% chance, 2.4x multiplier) for a heavy weapon class
  • Free ranged option via the Heavy Attack gunblade mode, no ammo cost
  • Infinite punch-through on gunblade projectiles is great for lined-up enemies
  • Citrine synergy speeds up the transformation for faster ranged bursts
  • Plat purchase comes bundled with a weapon slot and pre-installed Catalyst

Cons

  • Low base status chance (14%) limits pure status or Viral-focused builds without heavy mod investment
  • Short native range (2.6m) for a heavy melee makes spacing awkward
  • Heavy attack gunblade mode and normal combo attacks pull the build in two directions
  • No Incarnon adapter, so it caps out below Incarnon-boosted melee weapons in top-end Steel Path scaling

Corufell is for players who want a crit-focused heavy melee with a built-in ranged emergency button, especially Citrine users, not for anyone chasing the current meta since it has no Incarnon path.
