Incarnon Weapons Explained (2026): Genesis and Evolutions
Last Updated on September 20, 2026
Two different things share the name. Native Incarnon weapons are eight new guns and blades you buy. Incarnon Genesis is an adapter from the Steel Path Circuit that adds the same transforming form to 40 old weapons: two picks a week, on a fixed 8-week rotation. Land headshots or build melee combo to charge it, press alt-fire to transform, and unlock perks by finishing short challenges.
Researched September 19, 2026, current through Update 43.5. Every mechanic here is confirmed by two sources (the official wiki, DE patch notes, the game files); numbers we could not confirm twice are left out, not guessed.

| Innodem | Cavalero, Chrysalith (The Holdfasts) | 5,500 standing |
| Phenmor | Cavalero, Chrysalith (The Holdfasts) | 6,000 standing |
| Felarx | Cavalero, Chrysalith (The Holdfasts) | 8,000 standing |
| Praedos | Cavalero, Chrysalith (The Holdfasts) | 9,000 standing |
| Onos | Disruption on Armatus, Deimos (Rotation B) OR Loid, Sanctum Anatomica | 360 Vessel Capillaries if bought from Loid |
| Ruvox | Disruption on Armatus, Deimos (Rotation B) OR Loid, Sanctum Anatomica | 360 Vessel Capillaries total if bought from Loid (blueprint 180 + 2 components x 45 x 2 needed) |
| Thalys | Acrithis or Dominus Thrax, the Dormizone | 96 Scuttler Husk (earned from running Isleweaver on Duviri) |
- Zariman weapons (Laetum, Innodem, Phenmor, Felarx, Praedos): complete the 'Angels of the Zariman' quest, then buy each blueprint from Cavalero in the Chrysalith using The Holdfasts standing; each weapon unlocks at a higher Holdfasts rank than the last and all five require Mastery Rank 14 to purchase. Blueprints are tradeable.
- Sanctum Anatomica weapons (Onos, Ruvox): complete 'The Deadlock Protocol' and 'Whispers in the Walls' first. Blueprint/parts drop from Disruption on Armatus (Deimos), Rotation B, OR can be bought directly from Loid in Sanctum Anatomica using Vessel Capillaries (dropped by Disruption Armatus Demolishers, 2-3 per kill, 5-7 on Steel Path).
- Thalys (Isleweaver weapon): complete 'The Hex' quest, then run Isleweaver on Duviri to earn Scuttler Husk, and buy the blueprint from Acrithis or Dominus Thrax in the Dormizone for 96 Scuttler Husk.
Incarnon Genesis: getting the adapter
- Complete The Duviri Paradox and unlock The Steel Path, then run The Circuit on Duviri with the Steel Path modifier active.
- Each week the Steel Path Circuit offers 5 possible Incarnon Genesis adapters (that week's rotation group); you pick ONE as your Tier 5 reward and a SECOND one as your Tier 10 reward, so 2 adapters per week maximum.
- Tier 5 requires 450 Circuit progress that stage / 1,785 cumulative progress / 12 continuous stages to reach. Tier 10 requires 975 progress that stage / 5,460 cumulative / 34 continuous stages (33 with the daily login bonus).
- Alternative: 10 specific adapters (Boar, Gammacor, Anku, Gorgon, Angstrum, Dera, Sybaris, Cestra, Sicarus, Okina) can instead be bought directly from Cavalero's 'Incarnon Market' in the Chrysalith for 120 Platinum during that adapter's live week; the purchase includes the install resources. Each adapter can only be bought this way once ever.
- If you also have Drifter Intrinsics 'Opportunity' Rank 9, the Tier 5/10 slots can instead be spent on a Rifle/Pistol/Melee Riven Mod or 20,000 Kuva rather than an adapter.
The 8-week Genesis rotation
The rotation is fixed and repeats. Five weapons a week, you pick two. Our live page shows which week is up right now.
| Week | Adapters on offer |
|---|---|
| Week 1 | Braton, Lato, Skana, Paris, Kunai |
| Week 2 | Boar, Gammacor, Angstrum, Gorgon, Anku |
| Week 3 | Bo, Latron, Furis, Furax, Strun |
| Week 4 | Lex, Magistar, Boltor, Bronco, Ceramic Dagger |
| Week 5 | Torid, Dual Toxocyst, Dual Ichor, Miter, Atomos |
| Week 6 | Ack & Brunt, Soma, Vasto, Nami Solo, Burston |
| Week 7 | Zylok, Sibear, Dread, Despair, Hate |
| Week 8 | Dera, Sybaris, Cestra, Sicarus, Okina |
Installing it at Cavalero
| Resource | Amount |
|---|---|
| Pathos Clamp | 20 (fixed for every Genesis adapter) |
| two further Duviri resources, type and amount vary per weapon | examples confirmed: Braton = 60 Rune Marrow + 60 Tasoma Extract; Torid = 60 Rune Marrow + 20 Maw Fang |
- Cavalero requires you to already own BOTH the Genesis adapter item and the target weapon before he will install it.
- Cavalero can later remove an installed Genesis and hand back the adapter item, but the Duviri resources spent on installation are NOT refunded.
- Evolution challenges for a Genesis weapon only need to be completed once per weapon family: clearing them on the base weapon automatically unlocks the same evolutions on its Prime/Vandal/Wraith/Prisma variants once the adapter is installed on those too, though the numeric perk values (damage, crit, etc.) differ per variant.
- A single Genesis adapter type (e.g. 'Braton Incarnon Genesis') covers the base weapon and every mainline variant of it, confirmed examples: Braton/MK1-Braton/Braton Prime/Braton Vandal all use one Braton Incarnon Genesis; Strun/MK1-Strun/Strun Prime/Strun Wraith likewise share one adapter. Dual-wield/Akimbo versions of a weapon are treated as a SEPARATE weapon under the Incarnon system (the same rule that applies to them under the Riven Mod system), not as a variant automatically covered by the single-wield adapter. As of Update 43.x none of the 40 Genesis-eligible weapons has a Kuva variant, so Kuva-variant compatibility has not been tested or documented.
Charging and triggering Incarnon form
- Primary/secondary weapons (native and Genesis): land weakpoint hits (headshots/critical spots) to fill the on-screen Incarnon Transmutation gauge under the reticle, then press Alternate Fire to transmute into Incarnon Form. Any amount of charge (not just a full gauge) is enough to trigger it.
- Exceptions that charge on direct hits instead of weakpoints: Angstrum and Torid Incarnon Genesis.
- Melee weapons, native: reach a 5x melee combo (6x specifically for Ruvox) and land a Heavy Attack to trigger Incarnon Form. Thalys triggers off a 6x combo followed by a Heavy Attack, Slam Attack, or Heavy Slam Attack.
- Melee weapons, Genesis: reach a 6x melee combo and land a Heavy Attack to trigger Incarnon Form.
- While active, Incarnon Form draws from its own separate 'magazine' generated from the charge gauge, not from the weapon's normal ammo reserves; this pool is not affected by magazine/capacity mods or Ammo Efficiency arcanes (example: unmodded Braton generates 10 rounds per charge, capped at 200).
What the form does, and when it ends
- Activating Incarnon Form only needs at least 1 unit of charge; manually switching back out of Incarnon Form early empties whatever charge remains in the gauge.
- Running the Incarnon ammo pool dry automatically reverts the weapon to its normal form and refills its normal magazine with newly generated ammo (not pulled from reserves).
- Native melee Incarnon Form lasts 90 seconds; Genesis melee Incarnon Form lasts 180 seconds. Neither can be cancelled manually once triggered – it runs the full timer.
- Incarnon charge/Form state persists through holstering the weapon, bleedout, and being disarmed, but is cleared entirely on death.
- Incarnon Form uses the exact same equipped mod configuration as the weapon's normal form – there is no separate 'Incarnon loadout' or second mod slot set. Only its separate ammo pool ignores magazine/reserve-related mods.
Evolutions: the perks you unlock
| Tier | How you unlock it | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kill 100 enemies with the weapon (native) / Install the Genesis Adapter (Genesis) | Unlocks Incarnon Form itself – the weapon's alternate-fire/attack mode and initial stat changes. No perk choice at this tier. |
| 2 | Weapon-specific, e.g. 'Kill 8 Eximus with the weapon's Incarnon Form' for Laetum/Phenmor/Felarx/Onos/Ruvox, or 'Activate Incarnon Form 6 times in a mission' for Praedos/Innodem (native); 'Complete a solo mission with the weapon' (Genesis) | First tier that offers 3 selectable perks. |
| 3 | Weapon-specific, e.g. landing set numbers of weakpoint hits on Void Angels without reloading, or Heavy Attacks on Thrax Centurions/Legates (native); 'Kill 100 enemies with Incarnon Form' for primaries/secondaries or 'Activate Incarnon Form 6 times in a mission' for melees (Genesis) | 3 selectable perks. |
| 4 | 'Close 12 Ruptures in Void Flood' (Zariman native weapons) or 'Open 20 Conduits in Disruption on Armatus, Deimos' (Sanctum native weapons); varies by weapon for Genesis | 3 selectable perks. This is the FINAL tier for Genesis weapons (4 total). |
| 5 | Complete a Solo mission with an Incarnon weapon equipped in every slot (any mission type qualifies; Genesis weapons count toward this too) | Native-only final tier (5 total for native weapons). 3 selectable perks. |
- Only one perk per Evolution tier can be active at a time, but the choice can be changed for free at any time via Cavalero or directly in the Arsenal – no cost or cooldown to swap.
- Progress toward Evolution challenges is tracked account-wide and persists between missions/sessions, so you don't need to finish a challenge in one run.
- A native Incarnon weapon is a brand-new weapon in your inventory: it needs to be levelled to 30 and mastered like any other weapon, contributing Mastery XP normally.
- Installing an Incarnon Genesis adapter grants NO additional Mastery Rank – it upgrades a weapon you already own and have likely already mastered rather than creating a new inventory item.
- Genesis adapters are removable/reversible (Cavalero un-installs and returns the adapter item) but the install resources are lost; native Incarnon weapons have no adapter to remove since the Incarnon system is simply built into the weapon itself.
What to do, in order
- Finish 'Angels of the Zariman' to unlock the native Incarnon system and access to Cavalero at all.
- If you want a native Incarnon weapon, buy Laetum first from Cavalero (cheapest at 3,000 Holdfasts standing, Rank 0).
- If you'd rather upgrade an old favorite weapon, finish 'The Duviri Paradox' and unlock The Steel Path, then run The Circuit on Duviri with Steel Path active.
- Check the 8-week rotation to see which 5 weapons are offered that week, and at Circuit Tier 5 and Tier 10 pick the 2 adapters you want.
- Bring the adapter plus the already-owned target weapon to Cavalero in the Chrysalith; pay 20 Pathos Clamp and two other Duviri resources to install it.
- In a mission, land weakpoint hits (guns) or build melee combo (blades) to fill the Incarnon gauge, then press Alt Fire or land a Heavy Attack to trigger Incarnon Form.
- Complete each Evolution's listed challenge to unlock it, then pick whichever of its 3 perks suits your build – you can change your pick anytime at Cavalero or in the Arsenal, free of charge.
What players get wrong
| What people think | What is true |
|---|---|
| Native Incarnon weapons and Incarnon Genesis are the same system with different names. | They are two separate systems that happen to share mechanics. Native Incarnons (Laetum, Phenmor, Felarx, Praedos, Innodem, Onos, Ruvox, Thalys) are entirely new weapons bought outright. Genesis is a craftable adapter that retrofits the same transform/evolve mechanics onto 40 old weapons you already own. |
| You need a separate Genesis adapter for every variant of a weapon, e.g. one for Braton and another for Braton Prime. | One adapter type (e.g. 'Braton Incarnon Genesis') covers the base weapon plus its Prime, Vandal, Wraith, and Prisma variants – it's the same item, just installed on each variant you want to upgrade. |
| Dual-wield/Akimbo weapons simply can't get an Incarnon Genesis. | They're not banned outright – the wiki treats a Dual/Akimbo weapon as a fully separate weapon from its single-wield counterpart under the Incarnon system (same rule as Riven dispositions). As of Update 43.x, no Dual/Akimbo weapon happens to be on the 40-weapon Genesis list. |
| Incarnon Form runs off a separate mod build from the weapon's normal mode. | It uses the exact same equipped mods as normal mode. Only its self-contained ammo pool ignores magazine/capacity-type mods. |
| Any Genesis adapter can be bought with platinum whenever you want. | Only 10 of the 40 adapters (Boar, Gammacor, Anku, Gorgon, Angstrum, Dera, Sybaris, Cestra, Sicarus, Okina) are ever sellable for plat, only while that adapter is the live weekly offering, for 120 plat, and only once per adapter ever – the rest must be earned from Circuit Tier 5/10. |
| The Steel Path Circuit's Incarnon rotation is random or endless. | It's a fixed, repeating 8-week (Week A-H) cycle of 5 weapons per week; you choose 2 of that week's 5 as Tier 5 and Tier 10 rewards. |
| Removing an installed Genesis adapter refunds the Duviri crafting resources. | Cavalero returns the adapter item itself, but the Pathos Clamp and other resources spent installing it are gone for good. |
| Getting a weapon's Incarnon Genesis grants Mastery Rank like unlocking a new weapon. | It grants no Mastery at all – it upgrades a weapon you already own rather than adding a new item to your arsenal. |
| You have to grind the Evolution challenges separately for every variant of a Genesis weapon. | Challenges only need to be cleared once per weapon family; clearing them on the base weapon unlocks the same evolution tiers for its Prime/Vandal/Wraith/Prisma once the adapter is installed on those, though exact perk numbers differ by variant. |
| Incarnon Form lasts as long as you want, or you can turn it off and back on freely. | Gun/pistol Incarnon Form runs on its own ammo gauge and ends when that's empty or you manually cancel it (which dumps the whole remaining gauge); melee Incarnon Form runs a fixed, non-cancellable timer (90s native, 180s Genesis). |
