Warframe Weapon Systems Explained (2026): Every Upgrade Path
Six ways a weapon gets stronger, side by side
The short version
A weapon in Warframe gets stronger in six different ways, and the game never lays them out side by side. Some are things you install (a Catalyst, Forma, adapters), some are better versions of the same gun (Prime, Prisma, Kuva), one bolts a second form onto an old weapon (Incarnon), one is a random mod made for one weapon (Rivens), and one lets you build the weapon yourself (Kitguns, Zaws, Amps). Pick the one you are confused about.
