Build it if you have the Stalker drop, because the Incarnon Genesis turns Hate into a real slash-crit hybrid scythe with a free heat-explosion mode. Its real weakness is raw attack speed: Hate is the slowest scythe in the game, so combo upkeep needs Berserker Fury or a heavy-attack playstyle.
Build a 6x melee combo, then land a Heavy Attack to trigger Incarnon Form: +100% melee damage, +20% Sprint Speed and Parkour Velocity, plus Forward/Neutral combos that launch spectral blades exploding for Heat damage. Stalker’s Legacy adds bonus initial combo when Dread and Despair are also equipped, the only Incarnon with a same-set weapon synergy.
Hate is the Stalker’s signature scythe, farmed off him rather than bought outright, and its Incarnon Genesis kit from the Steel Path Circuit still earns it a spot in 2026 build guides: 161 Slash out of 230 total damage and a 30%/2.5x crit profile make it a real crit-status hybrid, not a one-note stick.
How to get the Hate
- Farm the Stalker (or his invasion/nightmare variants) at any mission level until the Hate blueprint drops; it is not a guaranteed drop, so expect repeated encounters.
- Alternatively skip the grind by buying the ‘What Stalker?’ bundle for 725 Platinum, which includes the weapon outright.
- Build the blueprint: 15,000 Credits, 10 Morphics, 5,000 Ferrite, 6,000 Nano Spores, 4,500 Salvage, 12-hour build timer (or rush with Platinum).
- Rank Hate to 30, then complete The Duviri Paradox and Angels of the Zariman and unlock Steel Path to access The Circuit.
- Run Steel Path Circuit matches and select the Hate Incarnon Genesis as a reward option when it appears in rotation (check the in-Circuit reward screen rather than assuming a fixed week), or buy it once from Cavalero in the Chrysalith for 120 Platinum (that purchase includes install resources and can only be made one time).
- Install the adapter with Cavalero using 20 Pathos Clamp, 70 Dracroot, and 20 Maw Fang.
- In a mission, build combo to 6x and land a Heavy Attack to unlock Incarnon Form, then clear the remaining evolution challenges (repeated Incarnon activations, 20 melee Finisher kills, manually equipping the melee slot before a mission starts).
Hate and its blueprint are untradeable, so you cannot buy a finished or half-built copy from another player; it’s farm-the-Stalker or buy-the-bundle only. The Cavalero Platinum purchase for the Incarnon adapter is also a one-time offer per account.

Hate’s 1.1 riven disposition is mid-pack, and a riven is a nice-to-have that offsets the low attack speed but isn’t required to make the build work.
Builds
Run Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds together: the 30%/2.5x crit scales into red crits as combo climbs, while the 20% status chance off the 70% Slash split reliably procs Slash bleed. Add Cold and Toxin for Viral, stack Condition Overload for flat damage off those procs, and pair with an attack-speed source since Hate is the slowest scythe in the game.

Melee
| Mod | Why it’s here |
|---|---|
| Blood Rush | Converts Hate’s 30% base crit chance into red crits as combo rises, which is where its 2.5x multiplier actually pays off. |
| Weeping Wounds | Pulls the 20% base status chance up enough that Slash and Viral procs land reliably instead of being a footnote. |
| Organ Shatter | Straight crit damage multiplier that scales directly with the crits Blood Rush is generating. |
| Primed Pressure Point | Flat base damage increase that raises the floor under both the Slash bleed and the crit hits. |
| Condition Overload | Turns the status effects this weapon’s kit is built to proc, especially stacked Slash and Viral, into a direct per-hit damage multiplier. |
| North Wind | Supplies the Cold half of Viral to combine with the weapon’s innate Toxin sources for maximum health-damage scaling. |
| Virulent Scourge | Supplies the Toxin half of Viral, completing the combo that makes the 70% Slash split hit much harder on tanky Steel Path enemies. |
| Berserker Fury | Hate is the slowest scythe in the game, so on-kill attack speed is what keeps the combo counter from lapsing between swings. |
Melee Influence is the top pick, spreading elemental status procs to nearby enemies off an Electricity proc, and Melee Crescendo is a cheaper substitute that banks combo off Finisher kills if you don’t have it yet.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Second-highest base damage of all scythes, behind only Caustacyst
- Second-highest crit chance of all scythes, which is exactly what Blood Rush wants to scale
- Free Incarnon Genesis kit adds a self-contained Heat projectile mode with no forma tax to unlock
- 70% Slash split pairs naturally with a Viral build for Steel Path-tier enemy health pools
- Base weapon can be earned for free by farming the Stalker, no Platinum required
Cons
- Slowest attack speed of any scythe in the game, which hurts combo upkeep without a speed mod
- Weapon and blueprint are untradeable, so there’s no buying a finished copy from another player
- Stalker drop is RNG-gated with no guaranteed acquisition path short of the plat bundle
- Sits behind newer S-tier Incarnon melees in most current Steel Path tier lists
Hate is for Stalker-lore fans and scythe mains who want a crit/status hybrid melee and don’t mind a grindy RNG farm to get it.
