Build it if you play Narin or you like bows. 400 base damage at 32% crit and 32% status is a strong statline before you touch the alt-fire, and the alt-fire is where it actually lives: 1,000 damage at 36% crit with a 3.0x multiplier. Skip it if you don’t want to grind Entropic Kuva, because that’s the only way to get it and it can’t be traded.
Landing hits fills five icicle pips around your reticle. A body hit fills half a pip, a weak point hit fills a whole one, so it’s ten body shots or five headshots to arm the alt-fire. The blizzard arrow then forces Freeze on everything in its path and leaves a trail that applies one Cold proc per second to anything that walks through it.
Nunchasa is Narin’s signature bow, released with Update 44 on September 23, 2026. Silent, one round in the magazine, 0.6 second reload, and a charge trigger.
The name is a portmanteau: nun (눈) is snow, chasa (차사) is a royal envoy sent on an errand. Half the update’s weapon and ability names run on Korean wordplay like this.
DE’s own 42-second look at both of Narin’s signature weapons:
How to get the Nunchasa
Nunchasa needs Mastery Rank 14. There is one source and no shortcut: Cephalon Melica, paid in Entropic Kuva.
- Finish Angels of the Zariman to reach the Zariman, and Whispers in the Walls to open Melica’s shop.
- Find Melica at Yuvan Peak on Earth or at the Chrysalith.
- Buy the main blueprint for 200 Entropic Kuva, then the upper limb, lower limb, grip and string for 50 each. 400 total.
- Farm the Entropic Kuva off Entropic Eximus anywhere on the Zariman. Steel Path Void Cascade has the densest spawns.
Boosters do nothing here. Resource, drop chance and Steel Path boosters all fail to increase Entropic Kuva pickups, so the only lever is killing more Eximus. Bring melee: non-melee damage against an Entropic Eximus is cut by 90%.
| Part | Cost | Build | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main blueprint | 200 Entropic Kuva | 20,000 credits + the four parts | 1 day |
| Upper Limb | 50 | 15,000 Alloy Plate, 1,700 Voidgel Orb, 30 Voidplume Pinion, 2 Plastids | 12 hours |
| Lower Limb | 50 | 15,000 Alloy Plate, 1,700 Voidgel Orb, 30 Voidplume Pinion, 2 Plastids | 12 hours |
| String | 50 | 15,000 Polymer Bundle, 750 Gallium, 4 Oxium, 100 Neurodes | 12 hours |
| Grip | 50 | 15,000 Cryotic, 400 Salvage, 2,500 Entrati Lanthorn, 2 Morphics | 12 hours |

| Riven Disposition | (0.5)Riven disposition 1 of 5 (0.50): a Riven mod rolls 50% weaker than the 1.00 baseline on this weapon. Digital Extremes sets one dot on the weapons players use most, so a Riven adds the least here. The dots measure how much a Riven helps, not how good the weapon is, and DE re-tunes them with every Prime Access. How Rivens work · The full disposition list |

Damage splits 200 Puncture and 200 Cold. The alt-fire is a different weapon on paper: 1,000 damage across 250 Puncture, 250 Slash and 500 Cold, 36% crit, 3.0x multiplier, 2m punch through and a 1.5 second charge.
Riven disposition is 0.50x, one dot out of five, the floor. That is normal for a weapon three days old and it will move at the next dispo pass. Don’t buy a Riven for it yet.
Builds
Standard crit bow build. Charge speed matters more than it looks, because Primed Shred’s fire rate bonus is doubled on bows.

One catch if you’re actually playing Narin. Cryo Rounds plus Malignant Force combine into Viral, so the bow stops applying standalone Cold procs, and Cold procs are what feed her Sangodae passive and her Naraemagi shield drain. Drop Malignant Force for pure Cold on Narin, keep the Viral on anyone else.
Arcane slot: Primary Merciless is the default, +30% damage per kill stacking to +360%. Primary Frostbite is the thematic alternative and it isn’t a downgrade on a build that keeps its Cold uncombined.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Silent, so it works in Spy and anywhere you don’t want alarms.
- Alt-fire is genuinely strong: 1,000 damage, 36% crit, 3.0x multiplier, forced Freeze and a lingering Cold trail.
- 0.6 second reload is very fast for a bow.
- 1.4m innate punch through on the charged shot, 2.0m on the alt-fire.
- Two innate polarities, so it costs less Forma than most signature weapons.
Cons
- Riven disposition 0.50x, one dot out of five.
- Untradeable, and Entropic Kuva is the only currency that buys it.
- One round in the magazine and 50 ammo max, with only 15 per pickup.
- Charging the alt-fire needs ten body hits or five weak point hits, which is slow against a single tough target.
- MR 14 locks it away from newer accounts.
If you built Narin, build this too. The Cold procs feed her kit, the silence suits her, and the alt-fire covers the crowd damage her 1 doesn’t. If you skipped Narin and you already own Nataruk or a Kuva Bramma, Nunchasa isn’t going to displace them, and the Entropic Kuva is better spent on her components.
