The short answer
Epoch Operation: Taubound (also written Tau-Bound) is live now and ends November 17, 2026. Finish Vor’s Prize, play missions on Eris, collect Moonflesh from Infested kills and Alerts, and trade it to the Sentient Mothership Praghasa for rewards. It’s a one-time event, and DE says it prepares the way for Warframe: Tau, due later this year.

How a run works
- Finish Vor's Prize if you haven't. It's the only gate for Moonflesh, and it opens Eris with no Junction requirement.
- Open the Star Chart, pick Eris and run any node. Every Infested kill except Maggots has a chance to drop Moonflesh.
- Check Navigation for Alerts and take them first. Each pays a flat 50 Moonflesh (75 on Steel Path), and the Infested inside still drop more.
- Between Alerts, run an endless node such as Zabala (Survival) so the kills keep coming. Exterminate ends as soon as the enemy count is cleared.
- Play Steel Path if you can. It pays 3 Moonflesh per drop and 75 per Alert.
- Visit Praghasa's Relay on Eris and spend. The Contegorus pieces stay locked until the community hits 30, 60 and 90 percent.
- Run with your clan. Everyone's Moonflesh counts toward the clan total, and the Event tab in Navigation shows where you stand.
- Log in daily. Praghasa sends an event-only story update each day, and DE won't repeat it after the event.

What we don't know yet
- When Warframe: Tau ships. DE says 'later this year' and has named no date. Two outlets have guessed November and December.
- The Vacis Amp Skin price. Sources split between 375 and 175, so check Praghasa's list before you save up.
- Eris Mortem. DE lists it as a reward, but no price list shows it. In the game files it is also the name of the third stage of the Prologue to Tau quest.
- Flat payouts for ordinary missions. DE says Eris missions give fixed amounts of Moonflesh, but guides only document kill drops and Alerts.
- Whether Zabala's 30 percent resource bonus applies to Moonflesh. Nobody has confirmed it.
- How the community goal ends. The Chest Plate needs 90 percent, and the in-game progress tracker is the only live number.
- The Vessel content. DE's event page mentions Vessel challenges that earn a unique Honoria, and the Xbox announcement mentions an Infested boss fight on Eris. Neither gives steps or requirements you can check.
- A leaderboard. DE lists none, and neither do the guides we checked.
Tips that save runs
- Do Alerts first. They are the one guaranteed Moonflesh source, and boosters don't touch the kill drops.
- Steel Path pays 50 percent more per drop and per Alert. Use it if your build can take it.
- Alert enemies are level 50. Bring a frame that clears Infested fast.
- Buy the Taubound-themed items before the repeatable Kuva, Credits and Endo trades. Those trades have caps you can fill any day.
Mistakes that waste runs
- Waiting to finish The Hex and The Old Peace. Moonflesh needs only Vor's Prize. Those two quests gate the separate Prologue to Tau.
- Stacking Resource Boosters or Drop Chance Boosters. They don't change Moonflesh.
- Sitting on Moonflesh. DE says there are no reruns, and Praghasa is gone after November 17.
