Build it: a 200-round mag, a free punch-through alt-fire, and a true 30% crit / 24% status hybrid spread make it rare among primaries. Real weakness: it’s been vaulted since December 2022, and the spool-up mechanic punishes hit-and-run play.
Primary fire spools from 40% fire rate up to full speed over about 9 rounds, so holding the trigger hits far harder than tapping it. Alt-fire auto-charges a single shot with boosted crit, status, and 1m punch-through, and on Octavia a charged headshot kill has a 20% chance to instantly refill the magazine.
Tenora Prime is Octavia’s primed automatic rifle (MR 14, released February 2021 in Update 29.9), and it still matters in 2026 because its balanced 30% crit / 24% status spread supports real hybrid builds instead of forcing pure crit or pure status.
How to get the Tenora Prime
- Tenora Prime is vaulted (since December 14, 2022), so its relics no longer drop from regular missions.
- Check Varzia’s Prime Resurgence rotation in the Orbiter or a Relay; vaulted Primes cycle back periodically for purchase with Aya, and Tenora Prime has appeared in past rotations.
- If it is not currently in rotation, buy the parts (or a fully built copy) from other players through trade chat, Warframe Market, or a similar trading tool using platinum.
- If you already own Lith, Meso, Neo, or Axi relics containing Tenora Prime parts from before the vault, run Void Fissure missions and crack them for the Receiver, Stock, and Barrel; check your own relic inventory or in-game Codex for the exact relic names since wiki listings can be outdated.
- Build each part in the Foundry at standard resource and time cost, then build the final weapon.
- No Incarnon Genesis adapter exists for Tenora Prime, since Incarnon adapters are only offered for non-Prime weapons.
A fully built Tenora Prime can also just be bought outright for platinum from other players, since crafted Prime weapons are tradeable; check current market prices before farming relics yourself.

Riven disposition is 1.05, dead center of the scale, so a riven helps but isn’t essential since the weapon already performs well on flat mods alone.

Tenora Prime’s 30% crit chance and 2.2x multiplier pair with a real 24% status chance for a crit-primary hybrid build: stack crit chance and crit damage first, then let Galvanized Chamber’s stacking crit-chance-on-status bonus and Hunter Munitions’ crit-to-slash conversion push sustained DPS past 400k. Fire rate and reload matter more here than on burst weapons, since the spool-up mechanic rewards holding the trigger.
