Build it for the alt-fire alone, a full-magazine dump that ragdolls and detonates for real AoE damage. The 44% crit chance and 3x multiplier make the semi-auto primary fire strong too. Real weakness: 0.75 riven disposition and a small 10-round magazine mean the alt-fire needs constant reload management.
Alt-fire only works with a full magazine. It launches a projectile that embeds in the target, ragdolls and pulls in nearby enemies, then detonates for Radiation damage.
Tenet Plinx is a Sister of Parvos drop, one of the ranged Tenet weapons vanquished Sisters hand over rather than something bought from Ergo Glast.
It’s a secondary built around two very different fire modes: a semi-auto pistol with genuinely strong crit stats, and a full-magazine alt-fire that pulls enemies together and detonates.
Its place in 2026 loadouts is as an AoE panic button alongside a crit-focused primary, since the alt-fire clears a room once the magazine is loaded.
How to get the Tenet Plinx
- Finish The War Within and Call of the Tempestarii, and reach Mastery Rank 5.
- Take a Zenith Granum Crown from a Treasurer on a level 31 or higher Corpus ship mission.
- Spend it at a Golden Hand tribute on a Corpus ship mission (level 10 or higher) and clear the Granum Void at Rank 1, the top rank. A Sister candidate spawns after you leave the Void.
- Read the weapon she shows. If it is not the Tenet Plinx, leave her alive and run again.
- Mercy-kill her with the Warframe whose progenitor element you want.
- Hunt her: murmurs on her nodes, Requiem mods on the Parazon, her Hound along the way, then vanquish her in the Railjack showdown on Neptune Proxima.
- The Tenet Plinx arrives with a 25 to 60 percent bonus of that element.
Sister weapons skip their Mastery Rank gate. Valence Fusion merges two copies up to 60 percent and lets you keep either element. Converted Sisters trade in a Clan Dojo. Rank 40 with five Forma.
Stats
| Class | Secondary |
|---|---|
| Mastery Rank | 6 |
| Trigger | SEMI |
| Noise | Alarming |
| Fire Rate | 3.33 |
| Accuracy | 50 |
| Magazine | 10 |
| Reload | 1.3 s |
| Critical Chance | 44% |
| Critical Multiplier | 3x |
| Status Chance | 12% |
| Riven Disposition | (0.75) |
| Damage | 70 total |
|---|---|
| Puncture | 40 |
| Heat | 30 |
0.75 riven disposition is in the low 2-dot band, so rivens roll noticeably weaker than average. Not a priority riven target unless the primary fire’s 44% crit chance and 3x multiplier are being pushed hard for a min-max build.
Builds
Split the build between the semi-auto primary fire, already crit-strong at 44% chance and a 3x multiplier, and the alt-fire nuke, which scales off the full magazine and flat damage mods rather than crit. Multishot and fire rate mods carry the primary fire, while raw damage and elemental mods carry the alt-fire’s detonation. Reload speed matters more than usual since the alt-fire is useless until the magazine refills.

Pistol
| Mod | Why it’s here |
|---|---|
| Hornet Strike | Large flat damage increase, the core damage mod for any secondary build. |
| Barrel Diffusion | Multishot for the semi-auto primary fire, doubling hit chances and crit rolls. |
| Lethal Torrent | Fire rate and multishot together for the semi-auto primary fire. |
| Primed Target Cracker | Raises critical damage, so the crits that land hit harder. |
| Galvanized Diffusion | Adds multishot, and every kill stacks more multishot for a while. |
| Primed Pistol Gambit | Raises critical chance so more shots crit at all. |
| Primed Heated Charge | Adds Heat damage and status chance, stacking on the weapon’s innate 30 Heat for more proc consistency. |
| Magnum Force | +165% damage for -55% accuracy; the alt-fire nuke scales off flat damage, so the trade is worth it. |
Secondary Merciless is the top pick, stacking a large damage bonus on kill that compounds well with the alt-fire’s room-clearing detonation. Secondary Deadhead is the cheaper alternative, building stacks off headshot kills instead.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Alt-fire is a genuine AoE nuke that ragdolls and pulls enemies before detonating
- 44% crit chance and 3x multiplier make the primary fire strong on its own
- Innate Heat and Puncture cover two damage types without extra mods
- Sister drop means the progenitor element is player-chosen, not random
Cons
- Small 10-round magazine means the alt-fire is frequently unavailable mid-fight
- 0.75 riven disposition, rivens roll weak relative to other secondaries
- Alt-fire refuses to fire at all unless the magazine is completely full
- Sister hunt to obtain it is a longer grind than an Ergo Glast purchase
Good pick for players who want a secondary that doubles as a room-clearing AoE tool and don’t mind running the full Sister of Parvos hunt to choose their element. Skip it if magazine management is annoying or a faster-cycling secondary fits the loadout better.
