Kompressa

Build and guide

Build it for cheap, reliable status stacking off 30% base status chance and 4x multishot. Crit chance sits at 6%, so don’t build for crit.

Unique trait: Bubble Burst

Kompressa fires sticky water bubbles that detonate in a small blast radius roughly half a second to under a second after landing on a surface or enemy, hitting nearby targets with a status roll instead of one direct tick. On Yareli or Yareli Prime, bubbles get extra projectile speed from her signature-weapon synergy.

Kompressa is Yareli’s signature secondary, a fully automatic pistol that lobs explosive water bubbles for Viral status damage, and it’s stayed relevant into 2026 as one of the cheapest, most reliable status-primer secondaries in the game.

How to get the Kompressa

  1. Reach Mastery Rank 8.
  2. Rank up with Ventkids to Rank 5 (Logical).
  3. Buy the Kompressa Blueprint, Barrel, and Receiver from Roky for 25,000 standing each (75,000 total); one component is handed out free as a Rank 5 rank-up reward.
  4. Build each component, then build the assembled weapon (12-hour build timer, rushable with Platinum).
  5. Alternative: buy the finished weapon outright for Platinum from the in-game Market if you want to skip the standing grind.
  6. For Kompressa Prime instead: open Kompressa Prime relics (check Varzia or the in-game relic screen for which relics currently drop it, since vaulted status changes over time) or trade with other players for the Prime parts.

Base Kompressa blueprints and parts are untradeable, so you cannot buy the Ventkids standing shortcut from another player; Kompressa Prime parts, by contrast, are tradeable.

Riven disposition is 1.15, just above the 1.0 baseline, and it’s a nice-to-have, not a requirement, since mods alone already push status chance high.

Builds

Kompressa’s 6% crit chance is too low to build around, so builds lean into its 30% base status chance and 4x multishot for a pure status build. Stack flat damage, multishot, and status chance mods, then add a second element on top of the innate Viral to cover more status types.

ModWhy it’s here
Hornet StrikeFlat base damage that every bubble explosion benefits from since Kompressa has no crit multiplier worth building around.
Barrel DiffusionMore pellets per shot means more simultaneous bubble explosions and more status rolls per magazine.
Lethal TorrentExtra multishot and fire rate stack even more status rolls, which matters far more than crit on a 6% crit chance gun.
Galvanized DiffusionKompressa’s frequent status kills feed the on-kill multishot stacks, pushing out even more bubbles the longer a fight runs.
Galvanized ShotStraight status chance plus a scaling direct-damage bonus per status type on the target, which a 30% base status weapon stacks fast.
Primed Heated ChargeAdds Heat on top of the innate Viral so each bubble explosion can apply two status effects instead of one.
Stunning SpeedMore status chance and faster reloads keep the bubble spam going without the base 30% status feeling thin.
Magnum ForcePure extra damage on a weapon that already leans on AoE over precision, so the accuracy penalty barely registers.

Secondary Merciless is best-in-slot since Kompressa’s frequent status kills feed its stacking damage buff fast; Secondary Deadhead is a cheaper stand-in, though its headshot requirement fights the weapon’s spray-and-detonate style.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Cheap, reliable status primer; explosions proc multiple status types on grouped enemies
  • 4x innate multishot means more bubbles, more explosions, more status rolls per magazine
  • Fully automatic and simple to use, no charge-up or alt-fire to manage
  • Riven disposition of 1.15 keeps it out of the heavily disposition-crushed weapon bracket
  • Cheap to acquire without needing a Prime Vault relic hunt

Cons

  • 6% base crit chance makes crit-focused builds a waste of mod slots
  • Explosion-based damage struggles at range and against single, spread-out targets
  • Base version has lower base crit, status, and damage than Kompressa Prime, capping its ceiling
  • Poor accuracy by design since it lobs projectiles rather than firing hitscan

Kompressa suits players who want a low-maintenance status secondary for grouped enemies, especially Yareli mains, not crit-hunters or single-target snipers.
