Prisma Grakata

Build and guide

Build it for a cheap, high-uptime status rifle, not top Steel Path damage: 21.67 rounds per second, the fastest fire rate of any primary, plus a 120-round mag and 1000 reserve ammo. Weakness: only 15 total damage per shot, Impact-heavy, so it falls behind current Prime and Incarnon rifles once enemy level scales hard.

Prisma Grakata is the crystal-plated remaster of the Grineer Grakata sold by Baro Ki’Teer, and in 2026 it still matters as a no-relic-RNG budget alternative to Prime and Tenet rifles, holding the record for fastest-firing primary at 21.67 rounds per second.

How to get the Prisma Grakata

  1. Reach Mastery Rank 11, required to equip the weapon.
  2. Wait for Baro Ki’Teer to visit a Relay (he rotates roughly every two weeks, alternating Relays) and check whether Prisma Grakata is in his current offer list, since his stock changes visit to visit.
  3. Farm 610 Orokin Ducats, earned by trading duplicate Prime parts to Cephalon Simaris, plus 100,000 Credits.
  4. Buy the blueprint from Baro’s Concourse kiosk, then build it in the Foundry and claim it once construction finishes.
  5. Check the in-game Baro offer screen or the wiki before making the Ducat trip, since his exact stock rotation is time-limited and not guaranteed to include this weapon.

The built weapon can be traded to another player only while unranked with no Forma or Orokin Catalyst installed, and the recipient needs Mastery Rank 11+. Rank it up or Forma it and it locks to your account.

Builds

With 25% crit chance, a 2.5x crit multiplier, and 21% status chance, Prisma Grakata is a hybrid build: push crit chance so Hunter Munitions converts crits into guaranteed Slash procs. Layer Viral (Cold plus Toxin) on top so those Slash procs hit primed, vulnerable targets, and the fire rate keeps both crit and status procs landing constantly.

ModWhy it’s here
SerrationFlat damage every rifle needs first, and raw per-shot damage is this weapon’s weakest stat.
Vigilante ArmamentsMultishot scales damage, crit rolls, and status procs per trigger pull, doubling down on the weapon’s rapid-fire identity.
Point StrikePushes the 25% base crit chance high enough to make Hunter Munitions procs land consistently.
Vital SenseCrit damage scaling pays off once crit chance is reliable, and the 2.5x base multiplier rewards the investment.
Hunter MunitionsConverts the now-frequent critical hits into guaranteed Slash procs, covering for the weapon’s low per-shot damage.
Primed Cryo RoundsHalf of the Viral combo, and the Cold proc slows enemies for easier sustained fire at this fire rate.
Malignant ForceOther half of the Viral combo, plus bonus status chance that stacks well with the weapon’s already-decent 21% base.
Critical DelayAdds both crit chance and status chance while trimming the fire rate, making sustained bursts easier to control.

Primary Merciless is best in slot, stacking crit damage into the Point Strike, Vital Sense, and Hunter Munitions crit chain, but Primary Deadhead is a cheaper alternative that refunds ammo and reloads instantly on headshot kills.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Fastest fire rate of any primary weapon in the game (21.67 rounds/sec)
  • Massive 120-round magazine and 1000 reserve ammo, rarely runs dry
  • Solid 21% status chance keeps procs landing constantly at that fire rate
  • Strong 2.5x crit multiplier rewards crit investment
  • No relic grind, just Ducats and Credits from Baro Ki’Teer

Cons

  • Very low per-shot damage (15 total, Impact-heavy) that struggles against high-level armor
  • Heavy recoil and accuracy loss during sustained fire
  • Burns through ammo fast despite the large reserve
  • No Incarnon Genesis adapter, so its ceiling is capped versus modernized rifles

Prisma Grakata is for players who want a cheap, no-grind, rapid-fire status rifle for Star Chart and light Steel Path work, not those chasing top-tier Steel Path or Archon Hunt DPS.
