Build Paris right away. It costs almost nothing, needs Mastery Rank 0, and there’s no reason to skip a weapon this cheap. The only real decision is if the Incarnon Genesis grind is worth your time. Once you see what that upgrade does, it is.
Land four headshots to fill the Incarnon Transmutation gauge, then hit Alt-Fire. Paris drops the arrow entirely and fires a wide Heat beam with infinite punch through instead. Damage, crit chance, and crit multiplier all get a real bump. Headshots stop adding a bonus while the beam is active.
Paris is a charge bow you can own on day one. Mastery Rank 0, dirt-cheap blueprint, no real barrier to entry. No fuss. For most of the game’s life that made it a weapon you built once and forgot.
The Incarnon Genesis system changed that. Charge four headshots, hit Alt-Fire, and the arrow becomes a punch-through Heat beam with numbers that actually hold up. That upgrade is the entire reason this page exists in Update 43: a free MR0 bow that scales into Steel Path if you put in the work to unlock it.
It’s not a top-tier pick. It’s a genuinely good one for what it costs, and what it costs is barely anything.
How to get the Paris
Buy the blueprint from the Market for 20,000 Credits. Building it costs 15,000 Credits, 3 Morphics, 600 Plastids, 700 Polymer Bundle, and 2,000 Nano Spores, on a 12-hour timer you can rush for 45 Platinum. None of that is rare. You’ll have the resources before you finish your first handful of nodes.
Mastery Rank requirement is 0. DE lowered it from MR3 back in Update 34.0, and Paris is still one of the earliest weapons you can own. It isn’t a Lich or Sister weapon, so there’s no progenitor element and no valence fusion. Just Credits and common resources.
The Incarnon Genesis is where the actual grind lives. You need The Duviri Paradox and Angels of the Zariman finished, plus Steel Path unlocked, before “Paris Incarnon Genesis” can even appear as a reward. From there it drops out of The Circuit’s Steel Path mode, in the same rotation slot as Braton, Lato, Skana, and Kunai. Sources disagree on which week that slot lands on, so don’t plan around a specific date. Keep running Steel Path Circuit and it comes around.
Don’t want to wait? Cavalero sells the Genesis outright for 120 Platinum, install resources included. Either way, installing it costs 20 Pathos Clamps, 60 Rune Marrow, and 60 Silphsela. The same Genesis item reportedly covers Paris, Paris Prime, and Mk1-Paris alike, though that detail is thinner on sourcing than the rest of the unlock chain, so double-check in-game before you commit resources on an off-brand variant.

Riven disposition sits at 1.40x on base Paris (5 stars) and 1.35x on Paris Prime, unusually high for how rarely anyone actually rolls one. Rivens for it are cheap, and the low competition means the ones you do land tend to roll better than the disposition number alone would suggest.
Builds
This is the standard Incarnon Heat build. It lines up with what the highest-voted community loadouts run for this weapon. Stack status chance and multishot. Let Hellfire’s Heat stack with the Incarnon Form’s own Heat damage. Run Critical Delay for a crit chance that would be reckless on a normal charge bow, but Incarnon Form doesn’t lean on fire rate the way base Paris does, so it works fine here. Take Amalgam Serration over plain Serration; the sprint speed bonus is what triggers the Deadly Pace Evolution’s fire-rate boost if you pick it. The ninth slot, Exilus, is free for Primed Bane of Orokin or a faction-specific Bane mod, swapped per mission. For Evolutions: Deadly Pace at EVO2 is the safe pick. Swift Deliverance or Ardent Trigger at EVO3 comes down to preference. EVO4 is Elemental Balance for consistent triple status procs against most targets, or Vicious Promise if you’re farming one specific undamaged target like a boss.

Paris Prime
| Mod | Effect |
|---|---|
| Galvanized Aptitude | +80% status chance. On kill, +40% direct damage per unique status type affecting the target for 20s, stacks up to 2x. |
| Amalgam Serration | +155% damage, +25% sprint speed. |
| Galvanized Chamber | +80% multishot. On kill, +30% more multishot for 20s, stacks up to 5x (up to +230% total). |
| Critical Delay | +200% critical chance, -20% fire rate (doubled penalty on bows). |
| Hellfire | +90% Heat damage. |
| Vital Sense | +120% critical damage. |
| Rifle Elementalist | +90% status damage, +0.6 punch through. |
| Bhisaj-Bal | +90% status chance. Restores 300 HP for every 3 status effects proc’d. |
For the arcane slot, run Longbow Sharpshot if you have it. On a headshot, your next shot gets +300% damage at max rank, and it stacks multiplicatively with Serration-line mods. You’ll need a Primary Arcane Adapter first (Teshin for 15 Steel Essence, Acrithis for 25 Pathos Clamp, or 20 Platinum in the Market), and Longbow Sharpshot itself drops from the Steel Path Circuit. If you don’t have it built yet, Primary Merciless or Primary Deadhead push more raw DPS on paper. Sharpshot is smaller in isolation, but you’re already grinding the Circuit for the Genesis, so it comes close to free.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- MR0 and nearly free to build on day one. The Incarnon Genesis from Steel Path Circuit is what turns it into real Steel Path damage later, so the value curve is close to unbeatable for the cost.
- Incarnon Form’s Heat beam punches through an entire line of enemies, and it still one-shots via charged headshots. One weapon covers both AoE clear and single-target burst.
- Riven disposition sits at 1.40x on base Paris, the top tier. Rivens are cheap because almost nobody rolls them, and the ones you do get tend to roll strong.
- Status chance stacks past 300% in the recommended build, which means guaranteed multi-element procs (Heat, Viral, Gas) on nearly every hit.
- Normal fire mode stays silent outside Incarnon Form, so it still works for stealth and spy missions where a loud weapon gets you spotted.
Cons
- Incarnon Form needs 4 manual headshots to charge before it turns on. Weapons that build charge off combo count or kill count feel less clunky in practice.
- Base Paris, without Incarnon, is forgettable by current standards. It exists mostly to get you to the transformation.
- It’s a strong budget pick, not best-in-slot. Current Incarnon tier coverage still puts Torid, Latron, and Dual Toxocyst ahead of it.
- Skip the 120 Platinum and you’re stuck waiting on the Steel Path Circuit’s multi-week rotation to land on Paris’s slot.
- The claim that it can out-damage Kuva Bramma on single targets traces to one source and only holds under specific conditions (Vicious Promise Evolution, undamaged target). Treat it as a maybe, not a given.
Paris is for anyone who wants a working Incarnon weapon without spending real resources to get there. New accounts get the most out of it: Mastery Rank 0, cheap to build, and it stays relevant well past the point where most starter weapons get forgotten. If you’re deep into Steel Path and weighing it against Torid or Latron, it won’t win that fight. Not close. Build it anyway. You’re spending Circuit time or 120 Platinum, not a real investment, and either way you end up with a weapon that still does work.
