Build it: cheap, no-relic-grind beam that auto-arcs to 3 extra enemies per target for room-clearing without pinpoint aim. Its real weakness is no Incarnon adapter and a soft single-target ramp-up, making it mediocre against tanky bosses.
The beam auto-arcs to up to 3 enemies within 10m, each jump dealing 50% of the previous hit’s damage. Damage ramps from 30% to 100% over 0.6s of sustained fire, then decays over about 2s after you release the trigger.
Amprex is a Dojo-built Corpus electric beam rifle from 2013 that still matters in 2026 because its chain-beam mechanic and 32% crit chance keep it viable in Steel Path without ever getting an Incarnon adapter.
How to get the Amprex
- Hit Mastery Rank 10, required before you can equip the Amprex.
- Join any Clan (a solo/Ghost clan is enough) so you have Dojo access.
- Build an Energy Lab room in the Dojo if your clan doesn’t have one, then research the Amprex there for credits and resources; exact costs scale with clan tier, so check your own Dojo’s research list rather than assuming a fixed number.
- Once research completes, buy the Amprex Blueprint from the in-game Market.
- Gather the blueprint’s resource cost and queue it in the Foundry; wait out the build timer or rush it with platinum.
- No relics, bosses, or Circuit runs are involved at any point, it’s entirely Dojo-and-credits.
Amprex has no Incarnon Genesis adapter as of Update 43, so there’s no separate adapter hunt on top of the blueprint. A second copy (for a dedicated crit build vs. a status/riven build) has to be crafted again from scratch since a finished weapon isn’t tradable, only the blueprint purchase step can be repeated.
Stats
| Class | Primary |

| Mastery Rank | 10 |
| Trigger | HELD |
| Noise | Alarming |
| Fire Rate | 12 |
| Accuracy | 12.5 |
| Magazine | 100 |

| Critical Multiplier | 2.2x |
| Status Chance | 22% |
| Riven Disposition | (0.85) |
| Damage | 22 total |

| Electricity | 22 |
Riven disposition is 0.85, below the 1.0 midpoint, so it performs fine unmodded and a riven is only worth chasing for endgame Steel Path min-maxing.
Builds
Its 32% crit chance and 2.2x multiplier beat its 22% status chance, so the standard build stacks multishot and Galvanized crit mods to push crit chance past 60% for a chain of red crits. A Viral status hybrid works but needs more slots than the base stats reward, so it stays a secondary option.

Rifle
| Mod | Why it’s here |
|---|---|
| Serration | Flat damage that scales every beam tick and every chain jump, the baseline slot any build needs. |
| Split Chamber | Multishot adds extra pellets that each roll crit and status independently, multiplying chain-clear speed. |
| Point Strike | Pure crit chance mod that pushes the base 32% toward a consistently reliable crit rate. |
| Vital Sense | Crit damage mod that cashes in the strong 2.2x multiplier once crit chance is high enough to matter. |
| Vigilante Armaments | Stacks more multishot and crit chance onto an already crit-leaning statline for compounding returns. |
| Critical Delay | Extra crit chance whose accuracy penalty barely matters on a beam weapon that doesn’t need pinpoint aim. |
| Galvanized Chamber | Conditional crit chance and multishot that ramps up on kills, rewarding the weapon’s crowd-clear chain style. |
| Galvanized Scope | Adds crit chance at range on headshot, useful since the beam can be walked onto enemy heads for extra crit value. |
Primary Merciless is the best arcane since chain kills stack its on-kill damage bonus fast, and Primary Charged Chamber is the cheaper alternative if you haven’t farmed Merciless from Steel Path Acolytes yet.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Auto-arcing electric beam hits up to 3 extra enemies per target, no aiming precision needed for crowd clear
- Solid native crit stats (32% chance, 2.2x multiplier) that scale hard with Galvanized crit mods
- Fully Dojo-and-credits acquisition, no relic RNG or boss grind
- Large magazine and ammo pool for sustained beam uptime
- Cheap, low-demand riven market if you want to chase one anyway
Cons
- No Incarnon Genesis adapter, permanently locked out of that damage tier
- Ramp-up/ramp-down damage timing makes single-target burst weak against tanky bosses compared to hitscan or Incarnon primaries
- 0.85 riven disposition caps how far a riven can push it toward top-tier numbers
- Held-beam ammo consumption gets expensive against single durable targets since falloff resets if you release the trigger
Amprex is for players who want a cheap, no-grind crowd-clear primary for early-to-mid Steel Path or credit and affinity farming, not those chasing chart-topping boss DPS.
