The short answer

The Teacher (Update 40, October 2025) is the mod tutorial that now sits between Vor’s Prize and the Venus Junction. Teshin takes your powers away, hands you a Thornbak rifle and makes you feel what Stormbringer and Cryo Rounds do, then the Corpus crash the lesson. It pays a full set of starter mods, 500 Endo and 30,000 Credits, and opens Cetus and the Venus Junction. Half an hour, nothing to fail.

Stage by stage

The Opportunists: Sweep Vor's old camps for Corpus, find the Mod Segment, and get floored by Teshin. Watch: Your abilities and comms are off for the lesson; that is the point.
Teshin's Dojo: Duel Teshin in melee until two of his three health bars are gone, then mod the Thornbak with Stormbringer and Cryo Rounds against drones. Watch: Equip exactly the mod he names; the drones only die to the right element.
Corpus Interruption: Fight two Corpus waves, put Vitality on your frame when told, grab the Mod Segment and extract inside a minute. Watch: Your secondary, melee and abilities come back here.
Applied Learning: Install the Mod Segment on the Orbiter, dissolve the two spare Stormbringers into Endo and fuse the third. Watch: Do not sell the spares; the quest wants them dissolved.
The Final Test: Board a Corpus ship, free Teshin, then capture him on the Lotus's order and blow the reactor. Watch: Capture, not extract; the objective flips mid-mission.
