Nineteen cards, four that matter, and the drop source that changed in 2020
The short answer
“Acolyte mods” are the nineteen conditional mods that came from the Stalker’s Acolytes in 2016. Since Update 29 (2020) the Acolytes do not drop them: they come from Mother’s bounties on the Cambion Drift and from trading. Four of them are still core: Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds on every combo melee, Argon Scope and Bladed Rounds on crit rifles. Steel Path Acolytes drop Steel Essence and weapon arcanes instead.

- Open Navigation, go to Deimos, and take a bounty from Mother in the Necralisk. The board shows the reward pool before you accept; the Acolyte mods sit in the mid and high level tiers.
- Run the bounty to the end; the mod rolls as a stage reward, so more stages means more rolls.
- Or buy the one you need: Blood Rush, Weeping Wounds, Argon Scope and Bladed Rounds trade for a few platinum each on warframe.market.
- Do not farm Acolytes for them. Steel Path Acolytes drop 2 Steel Essence and one weapon arcane (Merciless, Deadhead or Dexterity) each, and nothing from this list.
Tips that save runs
- Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds scale with the combo counter, so pair them with a stance and Naramon or a Combo Duration source; without combo they do nothing.
- Argon Scope needs a headshot while aiming; on a sniper with Target Acquired the whole build is headshots anyway.
- The conditional ones (on reload, on ability cast) are for builds that already do the thing constantly, like Lavos or a spam caster.
Mistakes that waste runs
- Hunting Acolytes on the Steel Path for Blood Rush; they have not dropped it since 2020.
- Slotting Maiming Strike expecting the 2018 slide-crit build; the rework capped it.
- Paying more than a few platinum for any of the four core mods.
