Build it. You already own one for free, stance included, and the Incarnon Genesis upgrade works on whichever copy you’re holding. No need to chase down Prisma Skana or Skana Prime just to get here.
Stack your Melee Combo to 6x, then land a Heavy Attack to trigger Incarnon Form. It runs for 180 seconds, stunning nearby enemies while buffing your melee damage and mobility. Holster it, bleed out, doesn’t matter, only death ends it.
The Skana is one of two starter swords. You get it from the Awakening quest, unless the game handed you a Bo instead. Swooping Falcon comes pre-installed, so a fresh account can equip it and start swinging without ever opening the mod screen.
Base stats are rough: 5% critical chance, a 1.5x critical multiplier, 16% status chance. On its own, that’s mastery fodder and nothing more. What earns it a second look in 2026 is the Incarnon Genesis adapter, which turns a free starter sword into a legitimate Steel Path option for the cost of a Circuit run or 120 Platinum.
How to get the Skana
Every new account gets a Skana or a Bo for free. Missed out, or want a second one? It’s a straightforward Credits buy.
- Play through the Awakening quest. Free. You get Skana or Bo automatically, with Swooping Falcon pre-installed since Update 38.5.
- Didn’t get the Skana? Buy the blueprint from the Market. 15,000 Credits.
- Build it. 3 Morphics, 750 Salvage, 500 Plastids, 1,100 Alloy Plate, 12-hour build time (or rush it with Platinum).
- Or skip the build entirely. Buy the pre-built weapon for 150 Platinum.
The Skana itself can’t be traded. Prisma Skana and Skana Prime share the same Incarnon adapter and hit harder out of the box, but neither one is a normal buy. Prisma Skana needs Mastery Rank 8 and Baro Ki’Teer’s rotating stock, while Skana Prime has been Founder-exclusive and unobtainable since 2013.
The Incarnon Genesis adapter works on all three variants. Grab it once and it’s good on whichever Skana you’re running.
- Unlock The Circuit’s Steel Path rotation. Requires The Duviri Paradox, Angels of the Zariman, and Steel Path access.
- Run the Circuit when the Skana Genesis shows up as a melee reward. Free.
- Or skip the wait and buy it once from Cavalero. 120 Platinum, installation resources included.
- Install the adapter. 20 Pathos Clamps, 70 Dracroot, 80 Connla Sprouts.

Riven disposition on the base Skana sits at 1.30, one of the higher numbers a sword can pull. A good roll scales further here than on most melee Rivens. Prisma Skana and Skana Prime sit lower, at 1.20.
Builds
This build stacks flat damage and critical scaling first, then layers Toxin and Electricity on top for a Corrosive combo that strips armor without needing a status proc to land. It assumes the Incarnon Genesis is installed. Skip the adapter and the base weapon isn’t worth this much investment.

Arcane choice isn’t settled. The highest-voted build guide runs Melee Duplicate. Other well-regarded builds go with Dreamer’s Wrath and Melee Animosity for more crit through Tennokai hits, or Discipline’s Merit paired with Melee Influence for guaranteed Tennokai procs and elemental spread instead.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Free at Mastery Rank 0, with its stance already equipped
- Riven disposition of 1.30, among the highest for a sword
- Incarnon Genesis is shared across Skana, Prisma Skana, and Skana Prime
- Incarnon Form adds a flat 100% melee damage plus a crowd stun once evolved
- Incarnon Genesis is cheap: a free Circuit rotation or a one-time 120 Platinum buy
Cons
- Base stats sit near the bottom of the sword class: 5% crit chance, 1.5x multiplier, 16% status
- Sportskeeda’s September 2026 tier list ranks it B-tier, calling it a downgrade from Hate at the same forced-Slash gimmick
- The stronger variants are both gated: Skana Prime has been Founder-exclusive since 2013, and Prisma Skana needs Mastery Rank 8 plus Baro’s rotating stock
- Earlier Incarnon Genesis bugs on the Prisma and Prime variants (failed application, evolution-bonus discrepancies, a cosmetic reset) showed up across multiple forum threads
This is a weapon for new accounts and mastery fodder runs, not a min-maxed Steel Path main. Already running something like Hate with its Incarnon fully evolved? Don’t bother switching.
Tier lists don’t agree on where the evolved version lands. Sportskeeda puts it at B-tier behind Hate; other 2026 rankings treat a fully evolved Skana Prime as close to S-tier. Try the build yourself before trusting either one.
