Build it if you have already cleared The Hex and want a status-stacking secondary without touching Requiem mods. Its 50 percent base status chance and corpse-drag kill effect carry it, but the weak 13 percent crit chance means it lives or dies on status mods alone.
On a kill, the body follows the dart that killed it and drags forward, damaging anyone in its path before pinning the corpse to a wall.
Coda Tysis is the Technocyte Coda variant of the Infested dart pistol Tysis, sold by Eleanor of The Hex in the Hollvania Central Mall. It keeps the base weapon’s innate Corrosive dart but raises its weak crit stats and magazine size.
It gets attention in 2026 because it is one of the few secondaries with a genuinely high 50 percent base status chance, and the corpse-drag kill effect gives it crowd damage most single-target pistols do not have.
Like all Coda weapons, it comes from vanquishing a Technocyte Coda, the Warframe 1999 era’s version of an Infested Lich, rather than a Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos.
How to get the Coda Tysis
- Finish The Hex quest.
- With no active Lich, Sister or Coda, run a Hollvania Exterminate, Hell-Scrub or Legacyte Harvest and pick up the Mixtape. Hack it (a Potency mod on success) and Arthur announces the new Technocyte Coda.
- Slot up to three Antivirus mods on the Parazon and mercy-kill Coda Duets on the band’s nodes until the right mod confirms; each hit raises the Disinfection meter, and missions on their nodes add 5 percent.
- At 100 percent, follow the Coda to Earth Proxima and finish it in a Railjack showdown for 10 to 15 Live Heartcells.
- Buy the Coda Tysis from Eleanor in the Hollvania Central Mall for 10 Live Heartcells. Her shop shows two batches of Coda weapons that rotate every four days, each with a random bonus element and percentage (25 to 60).
Coda members ignore the progenitor system, so the element is whatever the shop rolls; Valence Fusion merges two copies up to 60 percent and lets you keep the element you want. Rank 40 with five Forma.
Stats
| Class | Secondary |
|---|---|
| Mastery Rank | 17 |
| Trigger | SEMI |
| Noise | Alarming |
| Fire Rate | 2.5 |
| Accuracy | 100 |
| Magazine | 18 |
| Reload | 1.2 s |
| Critical Chance | 13% |
| Critical Multiplier | 2x |
| Status Chance | 50% |
| Riven Disposition | (1) |
| Damage | 135 total |
|---|---|
| Impact | 18 |
| Puncture | 32 |
| Slash | 26 |
| Corrosive | 59 |
Riven disposition is a low-middle 1.0x, and the weapon’s own status chance is already close to 50 percent, so a riven is a nice-to-have for crit stats rather than something to chase hard.
Builds
The 2026 build ignores the 13 percent crit chance and goes all in on status: multishot and fire rate for more darts, Galvanized Shot to turn every proc type on the target into direct damage, and three dual-stat elementals so the innate Corrosive is joined by Blast and Toxin.

Pistol
| Mod | Why it’s here |
|---|---|
| Hornet Strike | Flat +220% damage at max rank, the base every other bonus multiplies from. |
| Barrel Diffusion | Adds multishot: more projectiles per trigger pull, more procs and more crit rolls. |
| Lethal Torrent | Fire rate and multishot together: more darts per second. |
| Galvanized Diffusion | Adds multishot, and every kill stacks more multishot for a while. |
| Galvanized Shot | Adds status chance, and every kill adds direct damage per status type already on the target. |
| Primed Heated Charge | Adds Heat damage and status chance; with Frostbite it forms Blast for a second proc type beside the innate Corrosive. |
| Frostbite | Adds Cold damage and status chance, the other half of the Blast pair. |
| Pistol Pestilence | Adds Toxin damage and status chance as a third proc type for Galvanized Shot to count. |
Secondary Encumber is the standout: every status proc has a chance to add a second random status, which compounds on a 50 percent status dart. Secondary Merciless is the standard fallback, stacking damage on kills.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Very high native status chance for a secondary
- Corpse Drag adds real crowd damage on kills
- Large 18 round magazine for a status secondary
- Antivirus loop skips Requiem mod RNG entirely
Cons
- Weak native critical chance and multiplier
- Semi-auto fire rate limits sustained DPS without fire rate mods
- Full acquisition requires completing The Hex and repeated Hollvania bounty farming
- Eleanor’s rotating stock means the weapon is not always available to buy
Good pick for players past The Hex who want a status-stacking secondary without chasing Requiem mods; skip it if the Technocyte Coda grind itself is the deterrent.
