Build it if the relics are within reach. The 7 meter arming distance means you can fire rockets at point-blank range without hurting yourself, the one thing almost every other launcher in the game can’t do. Getting there is the hard part right now, since the relics are vaulted and out of the regular drop tables.
Rockets only arm past 7 meters, so it cannot hurt you point-blank. Reloading while sprinting is 25% faster, and on Gauss that bonus doubles to 50%.
Acceltra Prime is a rocket-firing assault rifle. Ten rounds a second out of a 48-round magazine, each one an explosive that detonates on impact instead of punching a single hole. Every rocket also carries a 7 meter minimum arming distance: get closer than that and the round just doesn’t go off. Fire it in someone’s face and nothing happens to you. That’s not true of the Angstrum, the Kuva Ogris, or most of its competition.
The reload passive matters just as much. Reload while sprinting and you get a flat +25% reload speed on any frame. Run Gauss or Gauss Prime and that number doubles to +50%, because Gauss’s own passive already rewards you for never stopping. The two weren’t sold as an official set, but in practice this is his signature gun.
No Incarnon Genesis. If you were hoping for one, it isn’t coming with this weapon, and nothing in the Wiki or anywhere else that’s dug into it suggests DE has plans to add one. Tier placement is mixed depending who you ask: timesaver.gg puts Acceltra Prime in A-tier among primaries as of Update 43.5, while a separate list drops the base Acceltra to B. Different sites weigh things differently. Treat any single ranking as one opinion, not gospel.
How to get the Acceltra Prime
Acceltra Prime comes from four relics: the Blueprint (Lith), Barrel (Lith or Meso), Stock (Meso or Axi), and Receiver (Axi). Crack those, farm the parts, and the Foundry build itself is cheap by Prime standards, 15,000 Credits and 10 Orokin Cells, with a 12-hour timer or a Platinum rush if you don’t want to wait. You’ll need Mastery Rank 14 to build it. That’s steeper than the base Acceltra, which only asks for MR 8.
Here’s the catch. Acceltra Prime is vaulted right now, meaning its relics aren’t dropping from regular missions. Relics you already own still crack open fine, and DE rotates vaulted Primes back through Varzia’s Prime Resurgence booth at Maroo’s Bazaar on a 28-day cycle, sold for Aya and Regal Aya. That rotation changes monthly, so check Varzia or the in-game Relics screen before committing weeks to farming. Warframe Market is the other route: buy the relics or finished parts straight from other players.

34% crit chance and a 3.0x multiplier are strong numbers for an explosive weapon. Rare for a launcher, too. Most launchers lean on status instead, so this one actually rewards a crit build. Riven disposition sits at 0.55x, the lowest tier the game has. Basically a rounding error. Don’t spend Kuva chasing a Riven for this one unless you already own one rolled well.
Builds
The standard build goes Viral and Heat. Malignant Force and Primed Cryo Rounds give the Viral combo that strips health-type resistance, Vital Sense and Galvanized Chamber push the crit chance and damage the base stats already support, and Vile Acceleration keeps fire rate and reload quick on top of the sprint bonus. Critical Delay trades away status chance you weren’t using anyway for more crit. The last slot is genuinely contested. Some builds run Thermite Rounds or Wildfire for general AoE clear, some run a faction-specific Primed Bane, and some run Hunter Munitions for the slash procs that fix this weapon’s real weakness against Steel Path armor. The build below runs Hunter Munitions, since armor is the bigger problem to fix.

SET: PRIMARY
| Mod | Why |
|---|---|
| Serration | Flat damage. No reason to ever leave it out. |
| Galvanized Chamber | Multishot that stacks on kills. More rockets per trigger pull. |
| Critical Delay | Status chance you don’t need, traded for crit chance you do. |
| Vital Sense | Crit damage, the other half of the crit build. |
| Vile Acceleration | Faster fire rate and reload on a gun that already reloads fast when you sprint. |
| Malignant Force | Viral procs, the half of the combo that strips resistance. |
| Primed Cryo Rounds | Cold damage, pairs with Malignant Force for the Viral proc. |
| Hunter Munitions | Slash procs off crits, the fix for weak armor damage in Steel Path. |
For an arcane, Primary Merciless is the straightforward pick. Crit chance on kill, stacking cleanly with everything above. There’s a second build you should know about if you want single-target damage instead of room clear: drop Primed Cryo Rounds for Primed Firestorm and run the Primary Compression arcane instead of Merciless. Compression turns the radius reduction from aiming down sights into a large damage multiplier, so you clear from the hip and burst down tough single targets the moment you scope in. That’s a different weapon at that point, built for a different job, but enough 2026 guides run it that it’s earned a mention here.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Self-safe at close range. The 7 meter arming distance means no launcher self-damage in normal play, so you can clear rooms other launchers can’t touch.
- Real crit stats. 34% chance and a 3.0x multiplier let you build it crit instead of forcing a status playstyle.
- The sprint reload passive keeps it firing almost nonstop if you stay mobile, and it doubles on Gauss and Gauss Prime.
- Primary Compression turns it into a legitimate single-target Steel Path weapon, patching its old weak spot.
- Cheap to build once you have the parts, and MR 14 is realistic for a mid-progression player next to base Acceltra’s MR 8.
Cons
- Vaulted right now. No mission drops, just Prime Resurgence RNG or trading for parts.
- Riven disposition is 0.55x, the lowest tier there is. A Riven barely moves the needle here.
- Impact-heavy base damage struggles against Steel Path armor unless you build around it.
- A 48-round mag empties fast at 10 rounds a second, and reloads are slow the moment you stop moving.
- You can outrun your own rockets. Bullet Jump or a fast ability can catch up to one before it arms, and it goes off right on top of you.
This is a weapon for someone who already plays fast and wants a primary that rewards it instead of punishing it. Gauss owners especially. Any mobile frame still benefits from the reload passive. If you’re farming Steel Path and tired of status shotguns, build around Hunter Munitions or Compression and it holds its own. Skip it for now if you’re not MR 14 yet, or don’t want to deal with vaulted relic farming this month. The base Acceltra will tide you over until Acceltra Prime cycles back.
