The short answer
Patient Zero is the Alad V quest that gates Mesa: a Corpus ship on Naeglar, three Infested ship Sabotages to triangulate him, then his lab on Xini with an Infested Mesa at the end. It pays the Mutalist Alad V Assassinate Key blueprint; each key run is one Mesa part roll, so plan on a few and share keys with a squad.

- Mutalist Empire: Naeglar, Eris: Extract data from a Corpus Ship to learn about Alad V's activities. Watch: Infested units will spawn after collecting the second datamass, fighting both Tenno and Corpus.
- Triangulation I: Brugia, Eris: Sabotage an Infested Ship to help triangulate Alad V's location.
- Triangulation II: Saxis, Eris: Sabotage a second Infested Ship.
- Triangulation III: Kala-azar, Eris: Sabotage a third Infested Ship.
- Mutalist Warframe: Xini, Eris: Destroy Alad V's laboratory and defeat the Infested Mesa. Watch: An Infested Mesa will attack after the reactor core is destroyed; defeat it to extract.
