The short answer
Oxium comes from the Oxium Osprey, and only when you kill it. If it self-destructs, you get nothing. Run Io (Jupiter) Defense, use Toxin damage to bypass shields, and bring Nekros for extra rolls. Loki or Ash can stay cloaked so the Osprey never charges.

The fast route
- Load Io (Jupiter) and pick Defense.
- Bring a full squad and a Resource Booster. More players means more Ospreys.
- Kill each Oxium Osprey with Toxin damage. Toxin bypasses shields, so the kill lands before it can charge.
- Do not melee an Osprey. Ranged one-hit kills work best.
- Bring Nekros with Desecrate for extra rolls, and keep your own summons away from Ospreys.

- Storage Containers have a small chance to hold Oxium.
Mistakes that waste runs
- Letting the Osprey reach you. Once it detonates itself, it drops nothing.
- Meleeing the Osprey. It will almost always self-destruct unless you kill it in one hit.
- Using Nekros Shadows of the Dead on Ospreys. Summoned allies can trigger the self-destruct.
