How to Get a Vulpaphyla (2026): Panzer, Sly or Crescent, and Which Parts to Pick

The short answer
Pick Panzer. Its Viral Quills precept spreads Viral status, and its Panzer Devolution precept keeps it fighting as a larva after it is downed. You capture a weakened wild one in the Cambion Drift, then Son in the Necralisk revives it for a Mutagen, an Antigen and 5,000 Credits. The subspecies sets the precepts. The Mutagen sets resistances and the Antigen sets the first polarity.

How to get one, in order
- Finish Heart of Deimos. That gives you the Necralisk and Son.
- Buy a Tranq Rifle and the Vulpaphyla Echo-Lure from Son.
- Enter the Cambion Drift. Panzer shows up in Fass, Crescent in Vome, Sly any time.
- Find one that Infested are attacking. It shows an orange shimmer and the word Weakened. You can also tranq one and lure Infested to it.
- Buy a Mutagen and an Antigen blueprint from Son, then build both in the Foundry.
- Go back to Son and pick Vulpaphyla Revivification. It costs 5,000 Credits.
- Rank it to 30, then gild it with Son for 10 Son Tokens and 5,000 Standing.

Tips that save runs
- For a Panzer the Mutagen choice is mostly looks. Poxi is the useful Antigen if you want Penjaga.
- Fass and Vome swap on a real-time cycle. Farm a Sly while you wait for the one you want.
- Wild ones flee and despawn fast when they spot you. Stay unseen.
Mistakes that waste runs
- Tranquilizing a healthy one. Only a weakened one can be revived.
- Skipping gilding. An ungilded companion gives no Mastery and cannot be renamed.
