Are you itching to find the best armor in Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer? Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer brings us many new toys to play with. From powerful weapons to new armors abundant with perks, there are more than enough additions to spice up gameplay mechanics in this massive FPS shooter. Most of the armor introduced (and reintroduced) are Exotic armor and Legendary armors. While there are many fantastic weapons released this season too, we’ll only cover armor in this Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer Best Armor guide.
Three new Exotic Armor pieces were released this Splicer season, all exclusive to the different Guardian classes (Titan, Hunter, Warlock). These three Destiny 2 armor pieces are among the rarest and best armor pieces you can find in Season of the Splicer in Destiny 2.
Let’s hop in and look through Destiny 2 Splicer’s best armor and armor sets.
The Star-Eater Scales
The Star-Eater Scales comes with an all-new Exotic perk, Feast of Light. With this leg armor, you gain more Super energy when you pick up Orbs of Power scattered across the map. Once your Super energy is full, picking up an Orb of Power lets your Super overcharge. This causes your Guardian to heal in a short burst when cast, while also providing a Bonus to your Super damage.
The Hunter subclass gains access to the brand new Exotic armor Star-Eater Scales in Season of the Splicer. This Exotic leg armor can be acquired from PVE competitions of Legend and Master Lost Sectors, which is a playable PVE battle type mode that resets each day. Despite its infinite playability, it can still be notoriously difficult to look for a specific drop that you want — the Star-Eater Scales included.
Recommendations: Works great on PVE, not so much in PVP where orbs are rare to come across. Nonetheless, it’s a great armor choice to accumulate Super energy, and the healing and Overshield also add a cherry on top.
Boots of the Assembler
Just like the Star-Eater Scales, the Boots of the Assembler is an all-new top Destiny 2 Exotic armor released in the Splicer season. This Splicer exotic armor is exclusive to the Warlock class and can be acquired from Legend and Master Lost Sectors.
The Boots of the Assembler’s unique perk is Blessing of Order. When you stand in a healing rift, you create Noble Seekers that target and look for allies that aren’t in the rift and heal them. If your Guardian or your allies stand in an empowering rift, you create Noble Seekers that give both you and your ally increased bonus damage. Each time your Noble Seeker finds and targets one of your allies, your rift’s duration briefly extends when your Guardian stands on it.
Recommendations: If you want your teammates to have the game of their lives, get this exotic armor. Pair it with Lumina, then the Boots of the Assembler will create a noble round for each ally healed. This killer combination makes it an excellent choice for PVE-type missions.
The Path of Burning Steps
The Path of Burning Steps is the Exotic armor equivalent for the Titan class. It, just like the other exotic armor, can be acquired in the Legend and Master Lost Sectors as a rare drop.
This leg armor is a great suppressor for status dealers thanks to its unique perk, Firewalker. With it, you are harder to Slow or Freeze with Stasis for up to 10 seconds. And when you break out of those statuses, you take no damage as you do, while also creating a burst of Solar Energy around yourself. Additionally, Solar final blows deal escalating periodic bonus weapon damage.
Recommendation: The Type resistances and overall durability you gain from exotic leg armor make the Titan an unstoppable force on the battlefield. It excels in PVP mode where the most common weapons in the meta deal Solar damage. For PVE, the rarity of Stasis enemies makes it a less-than-stellar choice at times, but stack combos with other weapons might be viable. Overall, it’s still a remarkable weapon that has no shortage of uses.

Aside from the aforementioned Exotic Armor parts, other Legendary armor sets have also been released in the Season of the Splicer. Here they are:

Whichever armor you go for, you’re sure to have a blast. Just be sure to equip them with the right mods too!
