Best Warframe for Interception Missions

Last Updated on September 9, 2026

Vauban is the pick for Interception. Bastille yanks every enemy off a capture point and suspends them mid-air, so the tower sits uncontested while you sprint to the next one, and a max-range Enduring Bastille build can lock down an entire lane by yourself. Nova’s the runner-up: Molecular Prime slows every reinforcement’s approach speed across the map, and that’s why some guides call her the more efficient pick for soloing all four points at once.

Best weapons for Interception

WeaponWhy
ToridIts gas clouds linger in a corridor and keep ticking damage/status on anything that walks through, so a single held lane stays sealed without you babysitting it.
Kuva ZarrIts cannonball payloads detonate in a wide blast down a lane, wiping whole groups crossing toward your point before they're even in kill-range.
AmprexIts continuous beam auto-chains across every enemy strung out along a sightline, so you never have to reload or break position to keep a point clear.
Kuva NukorIts chaining beam staggers clusters of approaching enemies and burns very little ammo, making it the sidearm of choice for holding a point solo through a long spawn wave.

Vauban: zone lockdown

Bastille grabs every enemy near a capture point and suspends them mid-air, so nothing touches the console while you’re gone. Layer Vortex inside a Enduring Bastille build and you can lock down an entire lane by yourself. Range beats damage here since Vauban isn’t killing anything.

Strength: lowDuration: highEfficiency: highRange: max

A single unranked Vauban with zero forma invested already trivializes Interception just by spamming Bastille and Vortex, so there’s no reason to build him up before he starts pulling weight.

Nova: slow the swarm

Molecular Prime slows every enemy’s movement speed in a wide radius, so reinforcements crawl toward your points instead of sprinting in the second you leave. Some guides rank her the single most efficient frame for soloing all four points at once. She’s cheap too, an early-junction frame that doesn’t need forma to pull this off.

Strength: lowDuration: highEfficiency: midRange: max

Nova’s one of the earliest frames you unlock, so this lockdown works even on a fresh build with barely any forma sunk into it.

Nyx: turn enemies on each other

Chaos flips nearby enemies so they turn on each other instead of the objective. Keep recasting it and enemies pretty much give up trying to capture your towers. No augment required, so she works fine with a bare-bones build.

Strength: lowDuration: highEfficiency: midRange: max

That’s what makes Nyx a solid no-frills fallback before you’ve farmed Loki’s or Khora’s augments.

Loki: disarm and confuse

Radial Disarm strips every gun in range, and the Irradiating Disarm augment makes the disarmed mob turn on itself. Drop a Decoy somewhere the enemies can’t reach and the confused crowd drags itself away from the console entirely. He’s one of the cheapest frames to acquire in the game.

Strength: lowDuration: midEfficiency: highRange: max

He needs almost no forma to disarm a room either. The only real cost is the Irradiating Disarm augment itself, which runs through Perrin Sequence standing.

Khora: cage the point

Strangledome physically cages enemies in place, and per the wiki, anyone caught in it doesn’t count as contesting the tower at all. That’s a rules exemption almost no other frame’s crowd control gets. Drop two domes and you can hold two towers solo without a single kill.

Strength: midDuration: highEfficiency: midRange: mid

Khora requires an Orb Vallis Ventkids and Solaris standing grind to unlock, so she’s a mid-game pickup rather than a day-one budget option.

Octavia: decoy the aggro

Mallet and Resonator drop stationary decoys that pull enemy aggro onto a speaker instead of your console. Octavia can sit invisible near them, thanks to Metronome’s stationary bonus, and just keep refreshing the decoys while the tower ticks up untouched. It’s a classic AFK-style setup for Steel Path Interception.

Strength: highDuration: highEfficiency: midRange: mid

Octavia only gates behind her Octavia’s Anthem quest, a modest story requirement rather than a grind, so she’s reachable well before you can afford real forma investment.

Honorable mentions

  • Frost: freezes enemies attacking your point
  • Gara: walls enemies out of consoles
  • Nidus: stacks Larva, tanks one point
  • Mesa: Peacemaker kills capture runners outright
