Tenet Exec

Build and guide

Build it for slam-shockwave clear or heavy-attack crit damage, skip it if a fast stance-combo blade is the goal. The shockwave chain off every slam attack is the standout strength, covering a room without aiming. The 22 percent status chance is too low to carry a build on its own, so lean on crit and Condition Overload instead.

Unique trait: Cascading Shockwaves

Every slam attack fires three Impact shockwaves in a fan; a heavy slam fires three sets of three. The shockwaves ragdoll enemies and deal separate Impact damage on top of the swing itself.

Tenet Exec is the Tenet line’s Heavy Blade, a slow two-handed sword built around its slam attack rather than its swing combo.

Every ground slam, light or heavy, sends out extra Impact shockwaves that ragdoll and hit enemies the blade itself never touched, which is why it still comes up in 2026 slam-build discussion even after several slam damage nerfs.

A 38 percent crit chance and 2.4x multiplier also make it a solid standard heavy-attack crit weapon on nights the shockwave gimmick is not needed.

How to get the Tenet Exec

  1. Farm Corrupted Holokeys in Void Storm Railjack missions (the Railjack fissures); each Void Storm has a chance to drop a stack.
  2. Visit Ergo Glast, the Perrin Sequence representative, in any Relay and buy the Tenet Exec for 40 Corrupted Holokeys.
  3. His stock rotates every four days at 00:00 UTC, one copy of each weapon per rotation, and each rotation rolls a new bonus element and percentage. Wait for the roll you want or buy now and fuse later.

The Mastery Rank gate is enforced on store-bought Tenet weapons. Valence Fusion merges two copies up to 60 percent and lets you pick the element. Rank 40 with five Forma.

0.8 riven disposition sits on the low end, so a riven adds only a modest jump over a plain crit build. Chase one only with a well-rolled crit or damage riven already sitting idle, not by farming Kuva specifically for this weapon.

Builds

The standard build is crit-forward: Blood Rush and Organ Shatter turn the 38 percent and 2.4x base stats into consistent red crits once combo is up, with Condition Overload covering for the low 22 percent status chance. Corrupt Charge keeps the combo counter alive between heavy-attack slams so shockwave damage does not fall off between engagements.

ModWhy it’s here
Primed Pressure PointFlat base damage increase that scales every swing and every shockwave.
Blood RushConverts melee combo into critical chance, turning the 38 percent base crit into consistent red crits.
Condition OverloadAdds bonus damage per status type already on the target, covering for the weapon’s low 22 percent status chance.
Organ ShatterFlat critical damage increase that compounds with Blood Rush’s crit chance.
Primed Fever StrikeAdds Heat damage, either standing alone for a proc or feeding a Viral or Gas combo.
Sacrificial Steel+220% critical chance, doubled on Heavy Attacks.
Killing BlowHeavy Attacks hit for +120% and wind up faster.
Corrupt ChargeGrants a starting combo counter and rebuilds it fast after a heavy attack, keeping repeated slams at a high combo multiplier.

Arcane Fury is the top pick, a 60 percent chance on crit for plus 180 percent melee damage for 18 seconds, which stacks well with the weapon’s high base crit chance. Arcane Strike is the cheaper substitute, trading raw damage for plus 60 percent attack speed on hit to cycle through the swing-to-slam pattern faster.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Slam shockwaves clear a radius without needing to aim
  • High native crit chance and multiplier for a heavy weapon
  • Heavy attacks hit hard even before mods
  • Holokey purchase skips Lich and Sister RNG entirely

Cons

  • 22 percent status chance is too low to build around alone
  • Low 0.8 riven disposition limits how far a riven pushes it
  • Slow swing speed outside of the slam gimmick
  • Bonus element is random Ergo Glast stock, not a player choice

Pick Tenet Exec for a slam-focused clear weapon that still holds up as a plain crit Heavy Blade when the gimmick is not needed. Skip it if a fast stance-combo melee is what is actually wanted.
