Sicarus

Build it. Base Sicarus costs 20,000 Credits, no blueprint, and it’s usable the moment you buy it at Mastery Rank 3. The Incarnon Genesis turns it into a ricochet crit machine, still A-tier on Sportskeeda’s September 2026 rankings. Sicarus Prime is the better stat stick if you can get it, but the base gun does the job while you wait.

Unique trait: Incarnon Genesis

Land 12 weakpoint hits, or four full 3-round bursts, and the reticle gauge fills. Hit Alt Fire and Sicarus flips into Incarnon Form: shots ricochet to a second enemy within 5m, damage, crit chance, crit multiplier, and status chance all jump, and it pulls from its own ammo pool capped at 120 rounds instead of your normal reserves.

Sicarus isn’t a Lich or Sister weapon, so there’s no progenitor element to chase. Its identity comes from the Incarnon Genesis system, which Digital Extremes added in Update 37.0, back in October 2024.

At launch, a bug let Sicarus Prime’s Incarnon multiplier stack per remaining charge, pushing damage to roughly 90 times normal on an unmodded gun, briefly making it the strongest weapon in the game. Hotfix 37.0.4 fixed it eight days later and threw in compensation buffs instead. Sportskeeda’s Update 43.5 tier list has it at A-tier as of September 2026, solid but no longer meta-defining.

Here’s a 2026 Incarnon build walkthrough that covers the ricochet and crit interactions in more depth:

How to get the Sicarus

Owning the base gun costs almost nothing. Unlocking what makes it good is the real grind.

  1. Reach Mastery Rank 3. No cost, just the rank requirement.
  2. Buy Sicarus from the Market. Cost: 20,000 Credits. No blueprint, no build timer, usable the moment you buy it.
  3. Optional: go for Sicarus Prime instead. Requires Mastery Rank 14 and Sicarus Prime’s Void Relics. It’s currently vaulted, so trade for the relics with other players or check Varzia’s Prime Resurgence rotation for current availability.

The Incarnon Genesis is shared between both variants. Install it on either weapon and both gain access to Incarnon Form.

  1. Complete The Duviri Paradox and Angels of the Zariman. Story requirement, no cost.
  2. Unlock The Steel Path. Requirement, no cost.
  3. Get the Incarnon Genesis. Cost: either a reward from the Circuit’s Steel Path rotation (RNG, rotates over time) or a one-time buy from Cavalero in the Chrysalith for 120 Platinum, which includes the install resources.
  4. Install it on Sicarus or Sicarus Prime. Cost: 20 Pathos Clamps, 100 Nacreous Pebble, 150 Aggristone.

Riven disposition sits at 1.20 for base Sicarus and 1.15 for Sicarus Prime. That’s high enough that a good Secondary Riven is worth chasing if you want more headroom on top of this build.

Builds

This is a stack-everything secondary build: fire rate and multishot for volume, crit chance and crit damage so headshots hit hard, one status mod to cover the shots that don’t crit, and elemental mods to pick a damage type your target is weak to. The listed build runs Heat, Toxin, and Electricity. Swap Primed Convulsion for Frostbite and you get Cold and Toxin instead, a Viral build for tougher armor.

ModEffect
Primed Heated Charge+165% Heat damage
Pistol Pestilence+60% Toxin damage, +60% Status Chance
Primed Convulsion+165% Electricity damage
Lethal Torrent+60% Fire Rate, +60% Multishot
Primed Target Cracker+110% Critical Damage
Primed Pistol Gambit+187% Critical Chance
Hornet Strike+220% base Damage
Galvanized Diffusion+110% Multishot; on kill, +30% Multishot for 20s, stacks up to 4x

Primed Pistol Gambit is the top-voted pick for that last crit slot, though it’s the less-corroborated choice among the builds reviewed. Galvanized Crosshairs is a safer alternative if your aim lands on weakpoints consistently. Either way, put Reflex Draw or Steady Hands in the Exilus slot to cut down Sicarus’s recoil.

Arcane choice is flexible here. Secondary Outburst is the common pick for raw damage, Secondary Deadhead is the safer all-rounder, and Secondary Fortifier helps against Eximus overguard. None of the three builds reviewed agree on one answer, so run what you’ve got.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Base Sicarus costs 20,000 Credits, no blueprint, no build timer, usable from Mastery Rank 3.
  • Incarnon Form adds ricochet and a big burst of crit, status, and damage stats to what’s otherwise a single-target pistol.
  • Riven disposition is high: 1.20 on base Sicarus, 1.15 on Sicarus Prime.
  • Incarnon Form’s 120-round pool is separate from normal ammo reserves, which matters on long Steel Path Survival or Defense runs.
  • Sicarus Prime is a clean stat upgrade if you already have the relics: 50 base damage and 25% crit chance versus 30 and 16% on the base gun.

Cons

  • The Incarnon Genesis needs Duviri Paradox, Angels of the Zariman, and Steel Path unlocked before you can even start earning it.
  • Sportskeeda’s September 2026 tier list calls it “no longer a good anti-Demolisher gun” now that the launch-week bug is patched.
  • The strongest builds need precision: King’s Gambit can’t crit outside headshots, and Galvanized Crosshairs only pays off on headshots too.
  • Sicarus Prime is vaulted right now, so getting it means trading for old relics, buying from other players, or waiting on Varzia.

Sicarus is a good pick for anyone who wants an Incarnon secondary without a farming wall in front of the base weapon. You can own the gun at Mastery Rank 3, long before you’re anywhere near Steel Path.

The Incarnon unlock is the real gate, and it’s the same grind no matter which variant you’re building toward. Get Sicarus Prime if you can. Base Sicarus with the same Genesis installed loses only a little damage and crit chance in exchange.
