Build it if you’ve already cleared the standing grind with The Holdfasts, or don’t mind buying the parts off another player. The Incarnon Evolutions add passive movement bonuses that work even while the weapon’s holstered, so it earns a loadout slot as a pure statstick alone, and the kill count unlock skips the Circuit RNG most other Incarnon weapons force you through. Skip it if you’re under Mastery Rank 14. There’s no shortcut around that wall.
100 kills unlocks Incarnon Form permanently, no Circuit adapter needed. Its Evolution perks grant sprint, slide, and parkour bonuses that stay active even while the weapon is holstered.
Praedos is a pair of tonfas built by the Zariman survivors, and it’s the one Incarnon melee weapon that doesn’t need a Duviri Circuit adapter. The transformation is built into the weapon itself. Land 100 kills with it equipped and Incarnon Form unlocks for good, no RNG, no repeat Circuit runs.
Once that’s unlocked, building a 5x melee combo counter and firing off a Heavy Attack flips the tonfas into Incarnon Form for 90 seconds. That state survives holstering the weapon and survives bleedout too, though dying kills it outright. While it’s active you get +3 Range and +40% Attack Speed, on top of whatever you picked from Praedos’ five Evolution perks.
The reason people actually care about this weapon isn’t the damage number. It’s the mobility. Full stop. Overframe alone hosts something like 90 pages of user-submitted Praedos builds. The top one sits at 1,460 votes. This isn’t some forgotten tonfa gathering dust in the Foundry. Several of the Evolution perks hand out +20% Sprint Speed, +20% Slide, and up to +30% Parkour Velocity, and every bit of that applies even while Praedos stays holstered and you’re running something else entirely.
How to get the Praedos
Praedos comes from a syndicate vendor, not a drop or a boss reward.
- Reach Rank 4 (Seraph) with The Holdfasts and Mastery Rank 14, both required before Cavalero will sell to you or you can build the weapon.
- Buy the blueprint from Cavalero, the arms dealer for The Holdfasts, in the Chrysalith hub on the Zariman, for 9,000 Standing.
- Build it in the Foundry with 30,000 Credits, 15 Voidplume Pinion, 30 Voidplume Quill, 8,000 Ferrite, and 100 Thrax Plasm. Takes 1 day, or 25 Platinum to rush.
Both the blueprint and the finished parts are tradeable. If you’re MR 14 but haven’t touched The Holdfasts, buying either from another player skips the reputation wall entirely.
Building it doesn’t unlock Incarnon Form on its own.
- Get 100 kills with Praedos equipped to unlock the transformation.
- Affinity Boosters speed the kill count along, same as with any other weapon.
It’s not a hard grind. A couple of Steel Path missions and you’re already there.

| Riven Disposition | (0.6)Riven disposition 1 of 5 (0.60): a Riven mod rolls 40% weaker than the 1.00 baseline on this weapon. Digital Extremes sets one dot on the weapons players use most, so a Riven adds the least here. The dots measure how much a Riven helps, not how good the weapon is, and DE re-tunes them with every Prime Access. How Rivens work · The full disposition list |
| Damage | 200 total |
|---|---|
| Impact | 20 |
| Puncture | 20 |
| Slash | 160 |
200 total damage split 160 Slash, 20 Impact, 20 Puncture is a Slash-heavy spread that plays well with Condition Overload and bleed stacking. 20% crit chance and a 2.0x multiplier won’t carry a build by themselves. They’re a floor for Blood Rush to build on top of. The number actually worth flagging before you sink a Riven slot into this: Praedos sits at 0.60 Riven disposition, the lowest bracket on the site’s 5-dot scale, so don’t expect a Riven to swing the build much.
Builds
The standard build leans entirely on combo counter scaling. Blood Rush converts combo into crit chance, Weeping Wounds does the same for status chance, and Condition Overload multiplies damage per status effect already sitting on the target. Stack those three with Sacrificial Steel for combo duration and a flat damage bump, and Praedos goes from a 200-damage statstick to a weapon that keeps scaling the longer a fight runs.

Melee
| Mod | Why it’s here |
|---|---|
| Primed Pressure Point | Flat damage, the baseline slot on almost any melee build |
| Blood Rush | Turns your combo counter into crit chance, the core of the whole build |
| Weeping Wounds | Same trick for status chance, pairs naturally with the Slash-heavy damage split |
| Condition Overload | Multiplies damage for every status effect already on the target |
| Sacrificial Steel | Combo duration plus a flat damage bump, keeps the counter alive between kills |
| Organ Shatter | More crit damage stacked on top of what Blood Rush is already feeding you |
| Primed Fever Strike | A big chunk of Toxin damage to fold into your element combo |
| Primed Reach | Wider hitbox, though Incarnon Form already grants +3 Range so some builds drop it for Berserker Fury instead |
For the arcane slot, Melee Influence spreads whatever status you land to everything in a 20m radius when paired with an Electricity or Heat proc, which turns single-target kills into room clears. Melee Duplicate is the pick if you’re chasing a high-crit build north of 137% crit chance, since it gives duplicated Tier 1 crits a shot at rolling into Tier 2. Either one is defensible, but Melee Influence is the safer default unless your crit chance is already past that 137% mark.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Best mobility melee in the game. The Incarnon Evolutions grant +20% Sprint Speed, +20% Slide, and up to +30% Parkour Velocity, and all of it applies even with the weapon holstered.
- The damage ceiling is real too, not just a mobility gimmick. Stack Blood Rush, Weeping Wounds, and Condition Overload on the combo counter and it scales hard through Steel Path.
- Unlocking Incarnon Form takes 100 kills. No RNG, no Duviri Circuit grind like most other Incarnon weapons demand.
- Works as a pure statstick for gun-focused loadouts, since the movement Evolutions stay active even if you never draw the thing.
- Blueprint and parts are tradeable. If the standing grind isn’t worth your time, someone’s usually selling both on trade chat.
Cons
- Locked behind a real acquisition wall. MR 14 and 9,000 Standing at Rank 4 with The Holdfasts puts it out of reach for newer or lower-Mastery players.
- 0.60 Riven disposition sits in the lowest bracket on the 5-dot scale, so a Riven mod won’t move this build’s numbers much.
- Some players think it lacks a distinct offensive identity next to other tonfas like Kronen Prime or Ohma. The speed boost is the real selling point, not the damage.
- Older forum feedback called it situational: strong in mobile missions like Spy, forgettable in stationary content like Survival. That’s a 2022-era take though, from before the current Incarnon Evolution kit, so it may not hold anymore.
Praedos is for players already living in Steel Path who want a melee that pulls double duty as a mobility tool. Running gun-focused loadouts and just want the passive Evolution bonuses? Equip it, hit 100 kills, and forget it exists otherwise. Still grinding toward MR 14? There are melee weapons that’ll serve you better before this one’s even on the table.
