Build it if you already own it: bouncing, exploding saw rounds and a status-heavy slash profile clear rooms fast, but it’s vaulted so it’s not worth farming for right now. Its real weakness is precision: slow projectile travel and wide spread make it clumsy against single high-value targets or bosses.
Primary fire launches automatic saw projectiles that ricochet off surfaces up to 3 times, exploding in a 1.6m radius per impact. Alt-fire deploys a hovering sawblade with continuous damage and enemy stagger, boosting crit to 26% and status to 38%.
Panthera Prime is the Primed version of Panthera, a fully automatic rifle that fires bouncing, exploding saw blades, and it still matters in 2026 because nothing else plays quite like it: a real alt-fire mode, not just a stat bump.
How to get the Panthera Prime
- Panthera Prime is currently Vaulted: its relics do not drop from missions right now.
- Check Varzia’s Prime Resurgence rotation at Maroo’s Bazaar, if Panthera Prime is featured you can buy the relics or the weapon bundle with Regal Aya.
- If it isn’t in rotation, trade with other players for the vaulted Barrel, Receiver, and Stock relics (check the in-game relic screen or Warframe Market listings for exact relic names, don’t guess at those).
- Open the relics in Void Fissure missions or trade directly for the finished Barrel, Receiver, and Stock parts plus the Blueprint.
- Build each component and the final weapon in the Foundry (standard Prime resource and credit costs, timers can be rushed with Platinum).
No Incarnon adapter exists for this weapon, so acquisition stops at the base Prime build. Since it’s a Prime weapon worth keeping long-term, slotting a Catalyst is worth it once built; there’s no second-copy or trading restriction on the finished weapon itself.

Riven disposition sits at 1.25 (4 of 5 circles), a middling value, and since Galvanized mods already cover most of what a riven adds, it’s a nice-to-have for extra multishot or status, not worth chasing hard.
Builds
At 18% crit chance, 30% status chance, and 75% of its damage in Slash, Panthera Prime is a status build: stack multishot and status chance for slash procs, then add Cold and Toxin for a Viral combo that doubles bleed tick damage. Since the saws are slow, bouncing projectiles rather than hitscan, fire rate and flight-speed mods matter more here than on a typical automatic rifle.

Rifle
| Mod | Why it’s here |
|---|---|
| Serration | Flat rifle damage is the foundation every other mod on this list scales off of. |
| Galvanized Chamber | More multishot means more pellets rolling Panthera Prime’s 30% status chance per shot, and kills stack even more multishot. |
| Galvanized Aptitude | Raises status chance further and rewards a weapon that’s already applying multiple status types per burst with stacking direct-hit damage. |
| Hunter Munitions | 90 of the weapon’s 120 top-damage points are Slash, so constant bleed procs trigger Hunter Munitions’ true-damage finisher chance against tanky enemies. |
| Primed Cryo Rounds | Supplies the Cold half of a Viral combo that doubles the damage of every slash tick this weapon already spams. |
| Malignant Force | Supplies the Toxin half of Viral and adds its own armor-strip proc chance on top of an already proc-heavy weapon. |
| Vile Acceleration | Faster fire rate means faster status application and quicker saw detonations, offsetting its damage penalty through raw proc volume. |
| Terminal Velocity | The saws are slow-traveling bouncing projectiles, so extra flight speed gets them on target before they lose their arc. |
Primary Merciless is best-in-slot since its stacking on-kill damage buff doesn’t need headshots and farms from Steel Path Acolytes; a cheaper RNG-free option is Arcane Primary Charger, bought from the Arbiters of Hexis vendor for Vitus Essence, though its damage window triggers off melee kills, not gun kills.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Bouncing, exploding saw rounds clear grouped enemies fast
- 30% status chance backs up a slash-heavy damage profile for strong bleed procs
- Alt-fire deploys a hovering sawblade for continuous AoE damage and stagger
- Large 80-round magazine and MR14 access keep it usable deep into the star chart
- Tied for highest base damage among fully automatic rifles
Cons
- Currently vaulted, no direct relic-farming route right now
- Low 18% crit chance makes crit-focused modding inefficient
- Slow projectile travel and spread hurt single-target and boss damage
- No Incarnon Genesis option, so it can’t scale the way Incarnon-boosted rivals do in extreme Steel Path
Panthera Prime is for players who already have it banked and want an AoE primary for room-clearing survival and defense, not for anyone chasing current meta or precision boss damage.
