Build it. Fifty thousand credits buys a fully assembled weapon with no Foundry wait, and once Incarnon Genesis is online it turns into the hardest single-target hit in the secondary slot. Skip the Genesis grind if you just want a cheap early pistol; the base fire mode alone isn’t worth building around.
Land 10 weakpoint hits to fill the Transmutation gauge. Alt-Fire then swaps the Lex to a separate 20-round Incarnon bank that ignores your mods and fires a slow, wide Radiation wave with a guaranteed Impact proc instead.
The Lex is the cheapest real pistol purchase in the game. Fifty thousand credits at the Market, no blueprint, no crafting timer. Buy it and it’s yours.
On its own, that purchase doesn’t do much. Six rounds, a 1.08 fire rate, the kind of secondary you forget you own.
Incarnon Genesis is the reason to care. Once it’s unlocked, Lex and Lex Prime both run the same Incarnon Form: a separate ammo bank built for erasing one high-value target at a time, not clearing a room.
Lex Prime sits behind a higher Mastery Rank gate but plays identically. Everything below about the build and the Incarnon system applies to both.

How to get the Lex
Two ways in: buy the base Lex outright, or farm Lex Prime through relics.
- Buy the Lex outright from the Market. Cost: 50,000 Credits. Requires Mastery Rank 3, arrives fully built with no Foundry step.
- Check Varzia before committing to a relic farm for Lex Prime. Sources disagree on whether it’s currently vaulted, so confirm its status and any Prime Resurgence purchase option in-game first.
- Farm Lex Prime’s Blueprint, Barrel, and Receiver from Void Relics. Requires Mastery Rank 8.
- Build Lex Prime in the Foundry once you have all three parts. Cost: 15,000 Credits, 12-hour build time (or Platinum to rush).
Incarnon Genesis is a separate unlock. Same item for both weapons.
- Complete The Duviri Paradox quest. Requirement: none beyond story progress.
- Complete Angels of the Zariman quest. Requirement: none beyond story progress.
- Unlock The Steel Path. Requirement: clear the starchart.
- Earn the Lex Incarnon Genesis from Cavalero in the Chrysalith through Steel Path Circuit rotations, or buy it once per account for 120 Platinum (includes the install materials: 20 Pathos Clamps, 70 Yao Shrubs, 150 Saggen Pearls).

Riven disposition sits at 1.25 on the base Lex and 1.20 on Lex Prime, both on the high end of the scale. A riven is a genuinely good investment here, more than on most secondaries.
Builds
Most Lex builds exist to keep Incarnon Form loaded and hitting hard. Crit chance, crit damage, and Viral elemental cover the base numbers, and Hemorrhage turns the guaranteed Impact proc into a Slash bleed. Lethal Momentum in the Exilus slot shortens the wave’s travel time; sourced builds run 5 to 8 Forma.

No single arcane wins the argument. Secondary Merciless or Secondary Deadhead cover a general crit and status build. A Heat-focused line swaps Scorch in for one of the Viral mods instead, feeding Cascadia Flare for stacking secondary damage on Heat procs, up to +480% at full stacks.

Pros
- Cheapest entry cost in the game: 50,000 Credits, pre-built, no farming or crafting timer for the base weapon.
- Incarnon Form has the highest single-shot burst damage of any secondary per Sportskeeda’s September 2026 Incarnon tier list, a genuine pocket sniper for eliminating priority targets.
- The guaranteed Impact proc in Incarnon Form gives Hemorrhage a reliable, controllable source of Slash damage over time instead of relying on random status rolls.
- High riven disposition (1.25 on base Lex, 1.20 on Lex Prime) means a riven pays off more here than on most secondaries.
- Incarnon Genesis is shared between Lex and Lex Prime, so an MR-locked new player gets the exact same endgame kit as a veteran running the Prime.
Cons
- The normal fire mode is weak and low on ammo (6-round magazine, 1.08 fire rate). It exists only to bridge between Incarnon charges and feels bad without the Incarnon system online.
- Incarnon Form’s own magazine (20 rounds, 2 per charge) is separate from normal ammo, ignores your mods, and needs 10 weakpoint hits to refill. That’s clunky against enemies with no weakpoints or in fast trash-clear content.
- Single-target focus with real damage falloff past 10 meters and a headshot multiplier that drops to 1x in Incarnon Form. AoE and status secondaries like Kuva Nukor, Epitaph, and Dual Toxocyst clear Steel Path faster overall.
- Getting the Incarnon Genesis at all requires Duviri Paradox, Angels of the Zariman, and a Steel Path unlock, or a 120 Platinum purchase. It isn’t a day-one weapon.
- Tier lists disagree on where it lands. This isn’t a clean, uncontested top pick the way some other Incarnons are.
This is a pickup for players who want single-target burst without a riven grind or a lucky drop forcing the decision. It won’t out-clear a Kuva Nukor or an Epitaph against a packed room.
Pair it with something built for crowds and it covers the gap: dropping a heavy or a nullifier before it becomes a problem. New players get the exact same ceiling as anyone running Lex Prime, which is unusual for this game.
