Skip the Synoid grind unless you specifically want its energy return passive: 2026 tier lists still call this weapon line solid but mid-pack, well behind the Atomos Incarnon on raw damage.
Alt-fire swaps the continuous beam for a slow semi-automatic mode: it fires a Cold explosive projectile that pulls enemies in for 1.2 seconds before detonating. Filling the meter takes 15 headshots or weakpoint hits. Since the beam tracks your reticle, that part is rarely the hard bit.
Gammacor fires a continuous hitscan beam instead of bullets, dealing Magnetic damage with perfect accuracy at any range you can see. It’s been one of the cheapest secondaries in the game to acquire since launch. In 2026 it matters for one reason: the Incarnon Genesis Adapter it shares with Synoid Gammacor.
That adapter turns a slow, beam-only leveling tool into an actual Steel Path option: it layers a semi-automatic explosive alt-fire mode onto the base weapon. Cheap either way. Grab the base Gammacor for pocket change, or grind toward Synoid Gammacor if you want the energy return too.
How to get the Gammacor
Two entry points here. Both are cheap enough that Platinum isn’t really the blocker.

- Or complete the Uranus to Neptune Junction: the blueprint drops free, no Platinum needed.
- Build it in the Foundry: about 20,000 Credits, 2,500 Alloy Plate, 650 Plastids, 400 Circuits, 2 Argon Crystals, 12 hour timer. Cost figures vary slightly by source, so treat this as an estimate and check your own Foundry screen.
The adapter is what makes this weapon worth building in 2026. It’s shared between Gammacor and Synoid Gammacor, so you only need to unlock it once.
- Farm The Circuit’s Steel Path mode in Duviri: requires The Duviri Paradox, Angels of the Zariman, and Steel Path unlocked. The weapon pool rotates weekly, so check the reward screen for the current lineup before you commit a run.

Gammacor sits at 4 of 5 riven disposition circles (1.15x). Synoid Gammacor sits at 3 of 5 (1.10x). Funny enough, the cheaper base weapon rolls rivens slightly better than its own upgrade.
Builds
This spread leans on the beam’s innate Magnetic damage and stacks Heat, Cold, and Toxin on top, covering most factions without leaning on one element mod. It’s built around the plain beam, not Incarnon mode. If you’re chasing the Incarnon side instead, weapon affinity for Evolution unlocks matters more here than another Forma.

Arcane choice splits the community here, and there’s no settled consensus pick. Secondary Merciless (flat extra damage plus reload speed) gets the nod for Incarnon mode, since the explosion’s Cold damage doesn’t trigger Heat based arcanes like Cascadia Flare. Steel Path veterans get a niche crowd-control option worth keeping modded, not a replacement for a top-tier secondary. If raw damage output is the goal, the Atomos Incarnon does that job better. Not close.
