Coda Motovore

Build and guide

Build it. A-tier hammer with a physical-mod gimmick that turns basic Impact, Puncture, or Slash mods into a second passive on top of solid native crit and status. The only real weakness is the low 0.80x riven disposition, so a riven does less for it than for most melees.

Unique trait: IPS Overdrive

Whichever physical mod type (Impact, Puncture or Slash) is highest on the weapon gets its value multiplied several times over and unlocks a bonus: Impact grants attack speed, Puncture grants range, Slash grants status chance. The wheel head changes to match the dominant type.

Coda Motovore is the exclusive two-handed hammer added with the Technocyte Coda system in Warframe: 1999’s Techrot Encore update, built from scavenged motorcycle parts fused with Technocyte growth.

It stayed relevant through 2026 because its gimmick rewards modding physical damage types instead of pure elemental stacking, which most other melees do not reward at all.

Community tier lists still rank it A-tier among Coda weapons for its mix of usable crit stats, heavy slam damage, and cheap Forma investment to get functional.

How to get the Coda Motovore

  1. Finish The Hex quest.
  2. With no active Lich, Sister or Coda, run a Hollvania Exterminate, Hell-Scrub or Legacyte Harvest and pick up the Mixtape. Hack it (a Potency mod on success) and Arthur announces the new Technocyte Coda.
  3. Slot up to three Antivirus mods on the Parazon and mercy-kill Coda Duets on the band’s nodes until the right mod confirms; each hit raises the Disinfection meter, and missions on their nodes add 5 percent.
  4. At 100 percent, follow the Coda to Earth Proxima and finish it in a Railjack showdown for 10 to 15 Live Heartcells.
  5. Buy the Coda Motovore from Eleanor in the Hollvania Central Mall for 10 Live Heartcells. Her shop shows two batches of Coda weapons that rotate every four days, each with a random bonus element and percentage (25 to 60).

Coda members ignore the progenitor system, so the element is whatever the shop rolls; Valence Fusion merges two copies up to 60 percent and lets you keep the element you want. Rank 40 with five Forma.

Riven disposition sits at 0.80x, on the low end, so a riven mainly helps push crit chance or status chance rather than transforming the weapon; most players skip chasing one and rely on the free IPS multiplier instead.

Builds

Standard 2026 builds lean into the Slash IPS bonus for the free +100% status chance, then stack Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds off combo to convert that into real crit and status scaling, with Organ Shatter and Condition Overload adding flat damage per status stack. Heavy attack or slam-focused variants swap toward Impact instead for the attack speed bonus on slam spam.

ModWhy it’s here
Primed Pressure PointFlat base damage increase that scales every hit before the IPS multiplier is applied.
Blood RushConverts combo counter into extra critical chance so the weapon’s 0.25 base crit actually caps out.
Weeping WoundsConverts combo counter into extra status chance, stacking with the Slash IPS bonus for near-guaranteed procs.
Condition OverloadAdds damage per unique status effect on the target, which climbs fast once Slash IPS is stacking procs.
Organ Shatter+90% critical damage, flat.
Sacrificial Steel+220% critical chance, doubled on Heavy Attacks.
Corrupt ChargeStarts every fight with +30 combo for an early Heavy Attack; combo decays faster in return.
Primed Fever StrikeAdds a flat Toxin damage type to help build toward Viral or Corrosive combos without losing physical damage share.

Melee Influence is the strongest pick when the build carries an Electricity source: an Electricity proc spreads every elemental status on the target to enemies nearby. Arcane Strike is the cheap fallback, attack speed on hit with no setup.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • IPS gimmick gives a free stat bonus on top of normal modding
  • Solid native crit chance and multiplier for a heavy weapon
  • Cheap to build functionally, no Forma required for a basic loadout
  • Strong heavy slam and heavy attack damage ceiling
  • No RNG to acquire, bought directly from Eleanor

Cons

  • Low 0.80x riven disposition limits riven value
  • No innate elemental identity, needs full elemental modding like any Infested weapon
  • Slow hammer swing speed unless attack speed is prioritized

Good pick for a player who wants a melee that rewards simple physical modding instead of chasing every elemental combo, and who does not mind a slightly clunky swing speed until attack speed mods are added.
