Coda Mire

Build and guide

Build it, the Coda variant turns a long-forgotten status sword into one of the fastest-swinging infested blades with real damage behind it. Its 40% status chance and attack speed carry a Condition Overload build without needing much crit investment. The only real weakness is an 18% base crit chance that keeps it off pure red-crit builds.

Unique trait: Forced Toxin Slam

Slam attacks apply a guaranteed Toxin status proc on top of any other status rolled, independent of the weapon’s status chance stat.

Coda Mire is the Technocyte Coda version of the Infested Mire, a fast one-handed sword that fell out of favor after early nerfs. Update 38.5 Techrot Encore revived it with stronger base stats.

It’s talked about in 2026 because it kept the fastest attack speed of any sword while gaining real damage and status numbers, making it a genuine Condition Overload stick rather than a novelty pick.

How to get the Coda Mire

  1. Finish The Hex quest.
  2. With no active Lich, Sister or Coda, run a Hollvania Exterminate, Hell-Scrub or Legacyte Harvest and pick up the Mixtape. Hack it (a Potency mod on success) and Arthur announces the new Technocyte Coda.
  3. Slot up to three Antivirus mods on the Parazon and mercy-kill Coda Duets on the band’s nodes until the right mod confirms; each hit raises the Disinfection meter, and missions on their nodes add 5 percent.
  4. At 100 percent, follow the Coda to Earth Proxima and finish it in a Railjack showdown for 10 to 15 Live Heartcells.
  5. Buy the Coda Mire from Eleanor in the Hollvania Central Mall for 10 Live Heartcells. Her shop shows two batches of Coda weapons that rotate every four days, each with a random bonus element and percentage (25 to 60).

Coda members ignore the progenitor system, so the element is whatever the shop rolls; Valence Fusion merges two copies up to 60 percent and lets you keep the element you want. Rank 40 with five Forma.

Riven disposition is 0.75, on the low end for melee. Condition Overload and Blood Rush already do most of the scaling work, so a riven is a bonus rather than a build requirement.

Builds

Standard 2026 build is a Condition Overload status stick: Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds convert the Combo Counter into critical chance and status chance, Condition Overload multiplies damage per status type already on the target, and Primed Fever Strike’s Toxin combines with a Cold source for Viral. The weapon’s own fast attack speed and forced slam Toxin proc mean status stacks build quickly without extra investment.

ModWhy it’s here
Primed Pressure Point+165% base melee damage at max rank, the foundation stat-stick mod for any melee build.
Blood RushConverts the Melee Combo Counter into critical chance, needed since the Mire’s base 18% crit chance is low on its own.
Weeping WoundsConverts Combo Counter into status chance, pushing an already-high 40% base toward guaranteed procs.
Condition Overload+80% melee damage per status type already on the target, which scales hard given the Mire’s mixed Impact, Puncture, Slash, and Toxin profile.
Organ Shatter+90% critical damage, multiplying crits once Blood Rush brings the chance up.
Primed Fever StrikeAdds Toxin damage that combines with a Cold mod into Viral for extra health damage.
Sacrificial Steel+220% critical chance, doubled on Heavy Attacks, another large crit chance source alongside Blood Rush.
Corrupt ChargeStarts every fight with +30 combo for an early Heavy Attack; combo decays faster in return.

Arcane Fury is the top pick, a 60% chance on critical hit to buff melee damage for 18 seconds, which compounds with the crit-chance stack from Blood Rush and Sacrificial Steel. Arcane Strike is the cheaper, more common alternative, trading the damage buff for an attack-speed buff on any hit.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Fastest attack speed of any sword in the game
  • 40% base status chance feeds Condition Overload without extra mods
  • Forced Toxin proc on slam attacks adds free status uptime
  • 235 total base damage is strong for its weapon class

Cons

  • 18% base crit chance is weak without heavy investment
  • 0.75 riven disposition caps how much a riven can add
  • Short 2.7m range compared to polearms or heavy blades

A strong pick for anyone building a Condition Overload status sword, skip it if the goal is a pure crit-focused melee.
