Bo Prime

Build and guide

Build it. The Bo Prime has high critical chance and critical multiplier, making it a strong contender for melee builds. Its main weakness is its reliance on Impact damage, which is less effective against armored enemies.

Unique trait: Incarnon Genesis

It takes an Incarnon Genesis adapter from the Steel Path Circuit, which is where most of its 2026 power comes from.

The Bo Prime is the Prime variant of the Bo staff, offering enhanced damage, status chance, and attack speed. It was introduced alongside Loki Prime and Wyrm Prime.

This weapon primarily deals Impact damage and features an Unairu polarity for its stance slot, matching the Flailing Branch stance. It also has innate Vazarin and Madurai polarities.

The Bo Prime boasts the second highest base damage among staves, surpassed only by the Broken Scepter. It shares the highest critical chance with the Tipedo Prime and holds the highest critical multiplier and status chance among all staves.

How to get the Bo Prime

  1. The Bo Prime is vaulted: its relics no longer drop in missions. Open relics you already own, buy them for Aya when Prime Resurgence lists it, or buy the parts for platinum.
  2. Ornament: Meso E1, Axi L4 (vaulted relics).
  3. Handle: Neo F1, Neo V8 (vaulted relics).
  4. Blueprint: Lith G2, Lith O2 (vaulted relics).
  5. Run the fissure tier that matches each relic, refine the rare part’s relic to Radiant, and pick the best of the four results with a squad.
  6. Build the parts, then the weapon: 12 hours each, or rush with platinum.

Check the Relic finder for live odds per refinement; the set price on this page is what the built set trades for on warframe.market.

Builds

Given its high critical chance and critical multiplier, a critical build is highly effective. Focus on increasing critical stats and attack speed, while also incorporating status chance to apply elemental effects. The Incarnon Genesis further enhances its capabilities, making it a versatile weapon.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High critical chance and critical multiplier
  • Highest status chance among staves
  • Second highest base damage among staves
  • Has an Incarnon Genesis option for further enhancement
  • High Riven disposition

Cons

  • Primarily deals Impact damage, less effective against armored targets
  • Requires a specific stance (Flailing Branch) for optimal polarity matching
  • Vaulted, requiring trading or waiting for unvaulting to acquire

The Bo Prime is a powerful melee weapon with excellent critical and status capabilities, further boosted by its Incarnon Genesis. While its base Impact damage can be a drawback against heavily armored foes, proper modding and elemental combinations can mitigate this. Its high Riven disposition makes it a prime candidate for personalized builds, offering significant potential for damage output.
