Afuris Prime

Build and guide

Skip it. Afuris Prime is a direct upgrade to the Afuris, but its base stats are too low to compete with other secondaries. Its biggest weakness is its poor critical chance.

The Afuris Prime is the Primed version of the Afuris akimbo pistols, offering improved statistics over its base counterpart. It was introduced alongside Baruuk Prime and Cobra & Crane Prime.

This weapon primarily deals Puncture damage, which is effective against armored targets. As a Prime weapon, it does not require Orokin Cells for crafting, which can be a minor convenience.

Despite being a Prime variant, the Afuris Prime struggles to find a niche in the current meta due to its low critical chance and moderate status chance, making it difficult to scale effectively into higher-level content.

How to get the Afuris Prime

  1. The Afuris Prime is vaulted: its relics no longer drop in missions. Open relics you already own, buy them for Aya when Prime Resurgence lists it, or buy the parts for platinum.
  2. Blueprint: Lith G6, Neo G7, Neo M5, Neo T7, Neo Z10 and 3 more (vaulted relics).
  3. Receiver: Lith A9, Meso A4, Axi A16, Axi A17 (vaulted relics; the rare slot in Lith A9, Meso A4).
  4. Link: Meso A5, Meso V9, Neo K5, Neo P8, Axi G11 (vaulted relics).
  5. Barrel: Lith H9, Lith N14, Lith P8, Meso B9, Meso D7 and 4 more (vaulted relics).
  6. Run the fissure tier that matches each relic, refine the rare part’s relic to Radiant, and pick the best of the four results with a squad.
  7. Build the parts, then the weapon: 12 hours each, or rush with platinum.

Check the Relic finder for live odds per refinement; the set price on this page is what the built set trades for on warframe.market.

The Afuris Prime has a riven disposition of 1.1, which is slightly above average. This means rivens for this weapon can provide a decent stat boost, potentially mitigating some of its base stat weaknesses.

Builds

Given its low critical chance, a critical build is not recommended. Instead, focus on a hybrid status and damage build. Maximize its Puncture damage and add elemental combinations to strip armor or deal with specific factions. Its high fire rate can help apply status effects quickly.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Direct upgrade to the Afuris.
  • Primarily deals Puncture damage, effective against armor.
  • Does not require Orokin Cells for crafting.
  • High fire rate for quick status application.
  • Slightly above average Riven disposition.

Cons

  • Very low critical chance.
  • Moderate status chance.
  • Struggles in high-level content.
  • Outperformed by many other secondary weapons.

The Afuris Prime is a visually appealing weapon with a high fire rate, but its fundamental stats hold it back from being a top-tier secondary. While it can be made viable for mid-level content with a dedicated build, players seeking optimal performance will find better options elsewhere. It serves primarily as a mastery fodder or a collector’s item for Prime enthusiasts.
