The official minimum is ancient (a 2009 Intel Core i7-860 or AMD FX-4170, 4 GB of RAM, any DirectX 11 card, 75 GB of disk) and the game honours it. What actually decides your frame rate is the CPU’s single-thread speed: relays, four-player relic runs and open worlds put the enemy and ability work on one main thread, so a modern 6 core CPU, 16 GB of RAM and an SSD matter more than any GPU above a GTX 1660 or RX 6600.

How to tell which part is the wall
- Turn on Show FPS in Display and play a four-player relic run or stand in a busy Relay.
- Open Task Manager on a second screen or alt-tab: if the GPU is under 90 percent while frame time rises, the CPU is the limit.
- If the GPU is pinned at 99 percent, the GPU is the limit: settings and upscaling fix that for free.
- If RAM is above 90 percent, close the browser; 8 GB systems page to disk in open worlds.
- CPU-limited with a 4 or 6 core chip: background load is the cheapest thing to remove. CPUCores keeps Windows and background tasks off the game’s cores, which is what steadies the 1 percent lows on those CPUs. It cannot make an 8 core CPU faster than it is.
