Warframe on a Low-End PC or Laptop (2026): Settings for 60 FPS on Integrated Graphics
Last Updated on September 14, 2026
Warframe’s official minimum is a 2009 Intel Core i7-860, 4 GB of RAM and any DirectX 11 GPU, and the game really does run on that. On integrated graphics the profile below holds 60 FPS at 720p or 900p: FSR 3.1 Balanced, DirectX 11, Low geometry and shadows, Volumetric Lighting off, particles Low. When the frame rate drops in crowds and not in corridors, the CPU is the limit, not the graphics.
Reviewed September 14, 2026, against the current Settings menu (Update 43.5) and the official support articles; this page is re-checked after every major patch.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Resolution | 1280 x 720 (or 1600 x 900 if the GPU has 2 GB or more) |
| Display Mode | Fullscreen |
| Max Framerate | 60 Hz |
| Vertical Sync | Off |
| DirectX (launcher) | 11 |
| Upscaling | FSR 3.1 Balanced (Performance on integrated graphics) |
| Geometry Quality | Low |
| Shadow Quality | Low |
| Texture Memory | Medium (Low is blurry and saves little) |
| Particle System Quality | Low |
| GPU Particles | Off |
| Anisotropic Filtering | 4 |
| Dynamic Lighting, Volumetric Lighting, Local Reflections, SSAO, SSGI, Volumetric Fog | Off |
| Motion Blur, Depth of Field, Film Grain, Glare | Off |
| Bloom | Low |
| Dynamic Resolution | Auto, only if you turn upscaling off |

Beyond the settings
- Plug the laptop in and set Windows to the High Performance or Best Performance power plan; on battery most laptops halve the GPU clock.
- Update the integrated graphics driver from Intel or AMD directly; OEM drivers lag by a year.
- Close the browser. A YouTube tab costs more frames than every shadow setting combined.
- Move Warframe to the SSD if the laptop has one; the game is 75 GB, so clear the space.
- If corridors run at 60 and crowds drop to 30 with the GPU below 90 percent, you are CPU-bound. Fewer background processes is the only free fix; CPUCores does that job automatically on 4 core laptops, where it makes the most difference.
CPUCores — Maximize Your FPS
If you’ve worked through the settings above and still get stutter, the bottleneck is often background processes stealing CPU time from the game. CPUCores isolates Windows and background tasks onto separate cores so your game gets the rest — it launches straight from Steam and detects your library automatically.
Tips that save runs
- Show FPS tells you which of GPU or CPU is the wall: high frame time with low GPU usage means CPU.
- Duviri, Deimos and the Plains are the heaviest tilesets; test there, not on the Orbiter.
Mistakes that waste runs
- Setting Texture Memory to Low on a 4 GB machine; Medium fits and looks right.
- Running Borderless on DirectX 11 without Optimized Flip-Model; it stutters.
