Sands of Inaros Quest Walkthrough (2026): Baro, the Sacred Vessels and Every Kill Challenge

Buy the blueprint from Baro, fill three Sacred Vessels, beat the Tomb Protector

Last Updated on September 12, 2026

The short answer

Sands of Inaros is the only quest you buy: the blueprint is 100 Ducats and 25,000 Credits from Baro Ki’Teer, who now always stocks it, or a trade. Mars tomb, then three Sacred Vessels that each want a set number of a specific enemy killed with the vessel equipped, with a Feral Kavat swarm, a splitting Tomb Guardian and the Tomb Protector between them. It pays every Inaros part plus the main blueprint.

Bring

  • Explosive area-of-effect weapons (for Tomb Guardian)
  • Weak or unmodded primary weapon (for Sand Shadow)
  • Warframe with crowd control or high damage abilities

Stage by stage

  1. Explore the tomb on Desert Tomb, Mars: Navigate through an Infested-occupied temple on Mars to retrieve the Sacred Vessel. Watch: The flames in jars inflict Heat status even through the Rift Plane.
  2. Fulfill the vessel's inscription: Equip the Sacred Vessel in your Gear and kill a specific number of a designated enemy type. Watch: The quest must be active for kills to count; kills in Simulacrum do not count, but Sanctuary Onslaught kills do.
  3. Return the vessel to Ara, Mars: Return to the temple on Mars, deposit the first Sacred Vessel, collect the second, and defeat attacking Feral Kavats. Watch: Around 50 Feral Kavats will attack, which can be overwhelming if unprepared.
  4. Fulfill the second vessel's challenge: Equip the second Sacred Vessel in your Gear and kill a specific number of a designated enemy type. Watch: The enemy type and count will vary per player.
  5. Return the second vessel to Ara, Mars: Return to the temple on Mars, deposit the second Sacred Vessel, collect the third, and defeat a Tomb Guardian. Watch: The Tomb Guardian splits into numerous smaller versions upon destruction, which then split further.
  6. Fulfill the third vessel's challenge: Equip the third Sacred Vessel in your Gear and kill a specific number of a designated enemy type. Watch: Denial Bursas must be killed, not just hacked, for progress to count.
  7. Return the third vessel to Ara, Mars: Return to the temple on Mars, deposit the third Sacred Vessel, collect the final vessel, and defeat the Tomb Protector. Watch: The Tomb Protector retreats to its sarcophagus, spawning Tomb Protector Effigies and Sand Shadows; the fight is timed for 15 minutes.

Tips that save runs

  • Kills only count with the vessel equipped and the quest active; Sanctuary Onslaught counts, the Simulacrum does not.
  • Denial Bursas must die, not just be hacked.
  • The Tomb Guardian splits; bring area damage. The Protector fight is timed at fifteen minutes.

Mistakes that waste runs

  • Filling the vessel in the Simulacrum.
  • Bringing a weak weapon to the Sand Shadow stage on purpose; the wiki tip is outdated for modern gear.

What it unlocks

  • Inaros

Where it sits
