Build it. The Velox Prime offers excellent ammo efficiency and high status chance, making it a reliable secondary. Its main weakness is low critical stats, requiring specific build choices.
Innate 20% Ammo Efficiency, increasing to 40% when wielded by Protea or Protea Prime. This means a percentage of shots fired do not consume ammo.
The Velox Prime is the Primed version of the Velox, an automatic secondary weapon. It was introduced alongside Protea Prime and Okina Prime.
This weapon features improved damage, critical multiplier, status chance, fire rate, and magazine size compared to its base counterpart. It also has innate Slash damage.
A notable characteristic is its 50% faster reload from a fully depleted magazine and innate polarities for Madurai and Naramon mods.
How to get the Velox Prime
- The Velox Prime is vaulted: its relics no longer drop in missions. Open relics you already own, buy them for Aya when Prime Resurgence lists it, or buy the parts for platinum.
- Barrel: Meso V10, Meso V11, Meso V14, Meso V9, Axi V12 (vaulted relics; the rare slot in Meso V10, Meso V11).
- Blueprint: Lith D7, Meso N17, Neo C6, Neo D10, Axi F2 and 1 more (vaulted relics).
- Receiver: Lith T12, Lith Z4, Meso V12, Neo B9, Neo L4 and 2 more (vaulted relics).
- Run the fissure tier that matches each relic, refine the rare part’s relic to Radiant, and pick the best of the four results with a squad.
- Build the parts, then the weapon: 12 hours each, or rush with platinum.

Builds
Given its high status chance and low critical stats, a status-focused build is optimal. Prioritize increasing status chance to reach 100% or higher, then add elemental damage and multishot. Slash procs from the innate damage type will be a significant source of damage.
