Build it if the game hands you one, don’t grind for it on purpose. Tenet Envoy turns into a genuinely solid automatic launcher once you fix its fire rate and mag size with mods, but you can’t buy, craft, or trade a finished copy, and Riven support on it is thin. Treat it as a bonus reward, not a project.
Every Tenet Envoy spawns with a bonus damage type already baked in, somewhere between 25 and 60 percent of one element, decided by the Sister who dropped it. Fuse a second copy through Valence Fusion, or buy an Elemental Vice once your first copy hits rank 40, and you get to pick that element yourself instead of living with the roll.
Tenet Envoy is the one rocket launcher in Warframe that fires like a rifle. Bramma, Tonkor, and Zarr all make you pump the trigger for every rocket. Envoy holds a continuous stream for as long as you keep the trigger down and ammo lasts.
That comes with a catch. Base fire rate sits around 0.83 rockets per second, the magazine holds 8 rounds, and reload takes a full 4 seconds unmodded. Base crit chance is 28 percent with a 2.6x multiplier, workable but nothing special until you build around it.
That’s the RPG build for Envoy from Rainollon’s Resistance, useful context before you commit forma to your own copy. The build below takes a similar approach but isn’t a copy of it.
How to get the Tenet Envoy
Tenet Envoy only comes from a Sister of Parvos who happened to spawn carrying it, and there’s no relic or vendor purchase for it.
- Find a Sister of Parvos and check her loadout before you engage.
- Confirm she’s holding an Envoy, work out her Requiem sequence, then choose Vanquish instead of Convert.
- Claim the weapon from your Foundry once she’s vanquished.
The wiki lists Mastery Rank 16 to equip it. One secondary source claims MR isn’t actually checked at the moment you claim a Sister’s weapon, but that’s a single unconfirmed report, so don’t count on it if you’re under MR16.
You can’t trade a finished Tenet Envoy to another player directly. What you can trade is a still uncontrolled Sister who’s carrying one, through the Crimson Branch room in a Clan Dojo, though whoever receives her still has to vanquish her themselves to get the weapon. Farming this thing is entirely about Sister RNG, and no mission grind guarantees the roll.
Want to change its element? A separate item unlocks the ability to re-pick your bonus element.
- Own a copy and level it to rank 40 (two Forma minimum).
- Buy an Elemental Vice from Eleanor at The Hex for 50,000 standing once you hit Rank 5 with the faction, or 20 platinum.
Elemental Vice permanently unlocks Valence Override on that copy, letting you re-pick its bonus element whenever you want instead of staying stuck with whatever the original Sister rolled.
Stats
| Class | Primary |
|---|---|
| Mastery Rank | 16 |
| Trigger | AUTO |
| Noise | Alarming |
| Fire Rate | 0.83 |
| Accuracy | 100 |
| Magazine | 8 |
| Reload | 4 s |
| Critical Chance | 28% |
| Critical Multiplier | 2.6x |
| Status Chance | 24% |
| Riven Disposition | (0.65) |
| Damage | 740 total |
|---|---|
| Impact | 100 |
| Cold | 640 |
Riven disposition on Envoy is 0.65, two dots out of five. That’s low. A Riven won’t swing this weapon’s numbers the way it would on a five dot weapon, so most serious builds spend that slot on a faction mod instead.
Builds
Multishot and blast radius are what actually scale Envoy’s damage, so both come before raw elemental mods. Everything else in the build patches one specific weakness: crit chance, crit damage, a finisher proc riding on crits, and enough fire rate and reload to make the automatic trigger feel automatic instead of sluggish.

Rifle
| Mod | Effect |
|---|---|
| Galvanized Chamber | +80% Multishot. On kill, +30% Multishot for 20 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. |
| Primed Cryo Rounds | +165% Cold damage. |
| Critical Delay | +200% Critical Chance, -20% Fire Rate. |
| Vital Sense | +120% Critical Damage. |
| Hunter Munitions | 30% chance to trigger a bonus Slash proc on a critical hit. |
| Primed Firestorm | +44% blast radius. |
| Vile Acceleration | +90% Fire Rate, -15% Damage. |
| Primed Bane of Grineer | x1.55 damage to Grineer. Swap in the matching Bane mod for whichever faction you’re actually fighting. |
Critical Delay’s fire rate penalty and Vile Acceleration’s fire rate bonus land in the same build on purpose. They largely cancel each other’s downside while both still add their main stat, crit chance from one and reload speed from the other.
Arcane slot goes to Primary Merciless. Every kill stacks +30% weapon damage for 4 seconds, up to 12 stacks, and each stack also adds 30% reload speed and 100% max ammo. That’s a direct answer to Envoy’s two real weaknesses, slow reload and a small mag, which is why it turns up in nearly every highly-voted Envoy build.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Only rocket launcher with a fully automatic trigger. Hold it down for a continuous stream of rockets instead of pumping a semi-auto action.
- Reloads passively while holstered, roughly 10% of the magazine per second, so switching to melee between fights tops you back up without a manual reload.
- Bigger magazine and friendlier ammo economy than most other heavy launchers, which helped it dodge the worst of the 2022 area damage ammo nerfs.
- Rockets go wire guided while aiming, so they land more consistently at range than an unguided launcher’s shots do.
- Valence Fusion and the Elemental Vice item let you retarget its bonus element to whatever you’re fighting instead of being locked into one forever.
Cons
- Riven disposition is 0.65, two dots out of five. A Riven adds comparatively little here next to top-tier launchers.
- Fire rate and reload are sluggish before modding. Most build guides treat Vile Acceleration as close to mandatory just to make it feel functional.
- Entirely RNG gated. You can’t buy or craft it, only vanquish a Sister who happened to spawn holding one, or vanquish a live Sister someone traded you. Update 32.0 also cut its magazine and removed its radial hit headshot bonus.
- Opinions are split on how relevant it still is. Build guides call it an underrated AoE survivor, but at least one 2025 Warframe Forums thread called it unpopular and said it doesn’t scale well into extreme Steel Path. That’s a single source, not confirmed elsewhere.
This is a weapon for someone who already vanquishes Sisters regularly and wants an automatic launcher for general Steel Path work. It’s not a reason to start farming Sisters by itself. If you’ve already got a copy sitting in your inventory unranked, the build above is worth two or three forma.
If you don’t have one yet, don’t reroute your farming around it. Plenty of launchers you can craft outright do comparable damage without the RNG tax.
