Nagantaka Prime

Build and guide

Build it. This weapon excels at high burst damage with its alternate fire, making it a strong contender for single-target annihilation. Its main weakness is the guaranteed Impact proc, which can hinder headshot consistency.

Unique trait: Headshot Reload & Alt-Fire Burst

Headshot kills boost reload speed by 50%. Alternate Fire shoots all remaining ammunition in a quick burst at 2.3x fire rate. Innate 1m Punch Through for Garuda/Garuda Prime. On kill, bodies follow the arrow, damaging enemies and pinning corpses.

The Nagantaka Prime is the Primed variant of the Nagantaka Crossbow, offering significant upgrades in damage, critical chance, burst fire rate, and magazine size. It was released alongside Garuda Prime and Corvas Prime.

This weapon primarily deals Slash damage, making it effective against most enemy types. Its unique mechanics include a reload speed boost from headshot kills and an alternate fire mode that unloads the entire magazine in a rapid burst.

The Nagantaka Prime also features an innate 1 meter Punch Through when used by Garuda or Garuda Prime, and a distinctive kill effect where bodies follow the arrow, damaging other enemies and pinning them to surfaces.

How to get the Nagantaka Prime

  1. The Nagantaka Prime is vaulted: its relics no longer drop in missions. Open relics you already own, buy them for Aya when Prime Resurgence lists it, or buy the parts for platinum.
  2. Barrel: Meso C8, Meso H4, Meso H8, Meso K4, Neo D8 and 3 more (vaulted relics).
  3. Blueprint: Lith N14, Meso N12, Neo N21, Neo N22, Neo N23 and 1 more (vaulted relics; the rare slot in Lith N14, Meso N12).
  4. Receiver: Lith C10, Meso D7, Meso O5, Meso P9, Neo F2 and 3 more (vaulted relics).
  5. Stock: Lith D6, Lith H6, Lith H8, Lith Z3, Meso G5 (vaulted relics).
  6. Run the fissure tier that matches each relic, refine the rare part’s relic to Radiant, and pick the best of the four results with a squad.
  7. Build the parts, then the weapon: 12 hours each, or rush with platinum.

Check the Relic finder for live odds per refinement; the set price on this page is what the built set trades for on warframe.market.

Builds

Given its high Slash damage, critical chance, and status chance, a hybrid build focusing on both critical hits and status effects is ideal. The alternate fire benefits greatly from magazine size, so mods that increase ammo capacity will also boost its burst damage potential. Prioritize Slash procs for sustained damage.
