Kronen

Build and guide

Build it if you are new and want fast tonfas now; Kronen Prime is the one to keep. The base Kronen has a 1.43 disposition and 20 percent status, so a cheap status build clears early planets, but its damage and crit do not scale.

The Kronen is a pair of bladed Tonfas, notable as one of the first fan-designed weapons implemented in Warframe. It holds the distinction of being the first Tonfa-type weapon introduced to the game.

This weapon deals primarily Slash damage and has a Madurai polarity in its stance slot. It serves as a crafting component for the Boltace.

While it boasts a fast attack speed, it suffers from the lowest base damage among all Tonfas, making it a less optimal choice compared to its Prime counterpart.

How to get the Kronen

  1. Purchase the Kronen blueprint from the Market for 65,000 credits.

The Kronen blueprint is notably expensive for a market blueprint.

The Kronen has a riven disposition of 1.43, which is high. This can significantly boost its stats if a good Riven Mod is acquired, potentially mitigating its low base stats.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High attack speed
  • Primarily deals Slash damage
  • High Riven disposition
  • First Tonfa weapon in Warframe
  • Component for Boltace

Cons

  • Lowest base damage among Tonfas
  • Low critical chance and critical multiplier
  • Outclassed by Kronen Prime
  • Expensive blueprint

The Kronen, while historically significant as a community-designed weapon and the first Tonfa, struggles to compete in the current meta due to its low base damage and critical stats. Its high attack speed and Riven disposition offer some potential, but players seeking optimal performance will likely gravitate towards its Prime variant or other more powerful melee options.
