The short answer
Buy a Tranq Rifle and the Pobbers Echo-Lure from The Business, then shoot animals before they notice you. A Perfect capture pays the most. The best single capture is the Kubrodon Incarnadine at 8,000 standing, but the Kubrodon lure needs Old Mate. Stover is the cheaper step up: 6,400 for the Fire-Veined at Cove.

The hunt
- Buy the Tranq Rifle and an Echo-Lure from The Business in Fortuna. Equip the rifle from the Gear wheel.
- Open the map. Blue animal icons mark trail starts. With a lure equipped, only that animal's starts show.
- Interact with a start, then follow the footprints to the calling point.
- Clear enemies near the calling point. They scare or kill the animal.
- Use a Pheromone if you want a rarer subspecies, then call with the Echo-Lure: follow the white bracket on the pitch bar.
- The animal spawns in the direction it answered from. Get out of sight and stay downwind, then tranq it. A Kubrodon takes two shots.
- Walk up and call the pickup. A Perfect capture pays the top standing.

What makes a capture Perfect
- The animal never sees, hears or smells you.
- Use the Tranq Rifle. Warframe abilities drop the grade to Good, except Ivara's Quiver, Navigator and Prowl, Baruuk's Lull and Equinox's Rest & Rage.
- Good means it saw or smelled you. Bad means it was hurt or you took too long.
Tips that save runs
- Ivara and Loki are the stealth picks. The Tranq Rifle is silent, so it doesn't break Ivara's Prowl.
- A Pheromone removes the common subspecies. You get a rare or a very rare one.
- The rarest subspecies (Subterranean Pobber, Kubrodon Incarnadine) don't roam. You only find them on a trail.
- Kubrodons shrug off abilities: sleep lasts a quarter as long.
Mistakes that waste runs
- Calling an animal with enemies close by. They attack it or chase it off.
- Putting the animal to sleep with an ability and expecting a Perfect grade.
- Standing upwind. The animal smells you and runs.
